Ted got Geico to put their logo on the Wizards' jerseys. What more do you want?

Space the floor completely and let oubre run wild with the starters it’s the only way

While the bench would have great chemistry

Sato
Rivers

Morris

Morris can have his way against benches like his brother does

Morris is a bum. He's a 90's ball 4 trapped in 2018 and he should only play spot minutes at the backup 5.

Unfortunately, the "Oubre/Porter solves a lot of issues" idea is a dead dream. I'm convinced that Porter can't play more than 15 minutes a night without dying at the 4 spot, and Oubre is not good at basketball. You'll get 4 guys on the court who look like they should defend modern basketball except constantly make horrific decisions on help defense. It's better than Kieff not being able physically move on the court, but it's still a losing team.

Oubre play the 4...lets him make easier decisions vs guarding guards...

Kieff is fine with sato and rivers it’s being with wall and Beal that messes him up because he demands shots...rather have him take those against bench players
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!
Bron, Bosh, Wade is like Mike, Hakeem, barkley...3 top 5 picks from same draft
mike, hakeem and Barkley on the same team!!!!

Didn’t see the game, poor Millie had his slobbering EG post ready to go, alas, we are just mediocre

One of many things I want to see less of would be Wall driving to the basket, getting swatted, or otherwise miss the layup, and him looking at the refs with the "where's my call" look. Just play, because the play never stopped (although Wall did). Chat with the ref at a break.

Wall is checked out because he feels the refs, media and coach are against him. How to change this? Give him targets to pass to who are already liked by the refs. Give him a point guard coach who can explain to him his role (defense, distribution, scoring last). Give the team more leaders that the refs already like.

In one move, we can go from the “bad boys” of the nba, to the team that made history hiring the first female coach during the me too movement. And btw, that coach brings with her a familiarity with Spurs’ players, the Spurs’ system, the Spurs’ ball movement and team defense.

I'm done with this team. Blow it up and get some nice young players like the Nets have right now. Play team basketball and watch the youngsters grow. Much better than this crap.

Screw Ernie. All he had to do in 2016 was to build a good bench and he failed miserably. And that 5y contract he gave to Brooks, oh man. What a terrible franchise.

Yup - re-watching the game it was amazing to see how little he tried on defense.

And I am amazed by how bad Rivers (sadly, kudos to PIF and others that made this prediction) has been... he has regressed to his rookie season productivity.

Given that the PG position is probably the most important on the court given the offense we run - this was predictable.

Morris is worse than he’s ever been except that stretch in Phoenix when he was blatently tanking to get traded.

Wall has fallen off the clif defensively, worst defensive season for him including rookie year.

Otto back to his 2nd year (he rarely played his rookie year) level.

Rivers has regressed (from bad to worse) to his 2nd year level. This is despite his coach loving him more than his own father did.

Beal certainly has dropped off to his pre all star level.

Oubre back to rookie year production, perhaps even worse defensively.

I really don’t actually see that as a bad thing. He’s a phenomenal player when he’s 100% in sportsmanship and enthusiasm.

I'd a lot rather have been wrong.

No kudos are deserved, btw. It is no secret & never has been a secret how bad a player Austin Rivers is. Last year was his best year, it's true, but even in that case, he was in the bottom 25% of all NBA guards in overall productivity.

I'm still far away & haven't seen any games for 2 weeks. Flying home tomorrow. It'll be hard to get motivated to watch.

Looking at that upcoming schedule, is there any reason to be optimistic that these guys are going to manage to get back on track?

vs. Blazers
vs. Clippers
@ Raptors
vs. Pelicans
vs. Rockets

These are teams that will just stomp the low energy, low effort Wizards we've seen show up for the vast majority of the games thus far.

Yeah, I wish you were sooooo wrong on this too... or even if he was bad that you would have been wrong because Brooks didn't play him.

But you weren't... and yes, it has been really hard to finish watching some of these games (especially when Wall starts dogging it on D or Rivers does his back to back TOs).

TerdEGgo don't seem to get the "sum of its parts" business. EGgo assembles some talent, usually with a large measure of luck, and rather than continuing to seek just the right combination and retooling on the fly like well-run teams do, the Wizards always go locking in the money on Fairly Big-3s and throwing away future assets with a "slightly above mediocre now" mindset and bottom out rebuilds as the only viable exit strategy. Hey, maybe Wall can bring some guns into the locker room and give them an assist like Arenas did.

It looks bad, but Clips, Rockets, and Pels will be playing 3rd road game in 4 nights. Trying to stay positive!

We follow that five game stretch with road games against Pels and sixers. Interesting rest of month.
