That's what is so frustrating. No matter how bad this team plays, NOTHING CHANGES! The closest thing we've seen to a shake-up is that Oubre has been getting some of Porter's minutes. That's it. Nothing happens to anyone else. The starting 5 is unchanged. The rotations are unchanged. The scheme is unchanged. It's like the movie Groundhog Day out there.

Starting the bench crew would be a great idea. At least it's doing something different.

It's kind of fascinating at this point to see game after game of crappy play, crappy coaching, and crappy leadership. Zero accountability or consequences for the players, the coach, or the GM.

What will it take for Brooks to get fired? For one of the underperforming max 3 to get traded? For Morris or someone else to get benched? Will anything happen if they lose another 4, 5, 6, 10 in a row? Who will take the fall and when will that happen? When will Ted feel the pressure to do something? We're years and years past the point when Ernie should have been gone.

We know this team is talented enough that a switch could go off and they suddenly start playing .500+ basketball and get back to "competing for the playoffs." I don't see any sign of that happening. I expect the Wizards to continue playing the way they have, and for Ted to be forced to eat the rest of Brooks's contract.

At 5-11, the Wizards only need 45 wins to get to 50.

45-21 is all the Wizards need to be from here out.

All the Wizards need to do is fire Brooks. Fire Grunfeld. Name Danny Ferry (I think Bob Ferry is still alive) acting GM. Pay Eddie Jordan $1M to finish the season. As coach.

I bet you A LOT the Wizards would start winning and finish with at least 45 wins.

Jordan would G check Wall with the quickness.

Its very odd to see a 40-45 win team upgrade both the center position and the bench over the offseason...and suddenly come back looking like a 25 win team.

Ottos defense and rebounding is pathetic. Otto is a lotto pick on a max deal (not blaming him for either of those things) but if you gonna expect more out of Wall and beal then you have to hold Otto to the same damn standards- and Otto is giving them rotation player contributions. By the time wall and beal were as far as Otto they were knocking on the door of being allstars or allstars- Otto is just another guy...nothing good or bad....just nothing.

They really didn't upgrade.

Something Ernie Grunfeld has NEVER understood is how to manage TEAM CHEMISTRY. You can have lots of talent but sometimes you must take away negative chemistry and also not add roster imbalances.

Rivers was not an upgrade and predictably this dumbass coach devalued even more a superior player, Satoransky.

Gortat faded but was ALWAYS a player who supplied screen assists, rebounds, and effort. Howard is not healthy enough to be available. The continuity was destroyed with bad chemistry moves.

Why add Rivers and stunt Brown? Why play Smith ahead of Bryant? Why keep Smith and Mahinmi?

The Wizards are just not well managed or coached.

That's a red flag for poor coaching.
Brooks never installed the correct fundamentals with this team .. they have no cohesive system on either end, and after 3 seasons of doing the same thing opponents seem to have thoroughly scouted them out. The entire league is taking advantage of Brooks' lack of attention to detail.
