Throwing a trade out there to see what Bulls fans think

Markell Fultz, Furkan Korkmaz, Jonah Bolden and a couple of 2nd round picks

for

Bobby Portis and Justin Holiday

I'd do it. Is Philly really that low on Fultz right now?

Fultz is a negative asset when you consider he is making nearly 10 million dollars for a bench warmer.
As of now, Philly doesnt have time to waste/develop him and already went all in for win now mode.
Knowing they are desperate, I would try to snag Z.Smith in addition to Fultz by giving up BP, Holiday, and Valentine.
Philly gets 3 key rotation players while Bulls gets to develop 2 young projects who still have some decent potential left in the tank.

Don’t know if I’d use the word desperate, trading Zhaire would be selling him at his lowest possible value. I wouldn’t do that with him involve, plus Sixers don’t really have minutes for a 3rd guy. Valentine/Holiday would get very few minutes.


But the reason I’d trade Fultz as a Sixers fan is because right now he’s pretty useless without the ball in his hands. He shows pretty nice flashes as a PG with his ability to get in the lane, but with Embiid, Ben, and Butler there isn’t much ball time to go around. Plus just the sheer fact that it’s getting time for a change of scenery that’s best for everyone.

I'd love it, but it is a huge overpay for 76ers. And not sure Portis is a good fit there at all.

Portis can’t fit right in for what Saric did for the sixers? Maybe his outside shot isn’t quite as good, but I think his athleticism over Saric would even it out nicely

I bet Fultz value around the league is better than what fans think. If he ever figures out the issues with his jump shot then he's a great prospect. Will he do it? Who knows...that's the question. But I imagine that some teams are willing to gamble on that if Philly looks to trade him.

I like Portis but if that's what it costs to get Fultz then I do it. Portis is a solid player, but he never had the upside that Fultz does.

I don't see Philly throwing in Zhaire Smith.

Don't think he is more athletic than Saric, especially if you think it would reflect on defensive end.

I don't know why Brooklyn would do that trade. Faried is an expiring and Dinwiddie is having a good season.

Portis is currently hurt, Felico still has two more years on his deal and Holiday is just okay.

I would be willing to trade our top five pick, for all four or even three of their picks. We suddenly have youth, depth, and a revamped lineup, two lottery picks, and cost control for years. draft a sf, backup pg, backup center, and best player available. We'd lose a star player or Dukie, but would immediately replace: Holiday, Lopez, Payne, and Arci or Shaq.

At this point we don't need depth, we need a star or a player that is as close to a star as possible. All in all it is way easier to acquire depth than it is to acquire a star. A fourth pick is more valuable to us than those four picks.

With all the injuries, I don't know if we have anyone that might interest the Wiz. Looking at their roster, the Wiz has soooo many mediocre players with such high salaries.

Just next year alone, they're gonna have $104M tied up on Wall, Beal, Porter, and Mahinmi

Wall and Beal will probably command too much, and we have the younger/cheaper/homeless versions of them on our team already. Otto Porter is way overpaid, nobody should want that contract unless they attach some assets.

Only prospect I'd take is probably Oubre, but I dunno if I'd give up Hutch for him at this point in our rebuild...

You know, in another world of fantasy land where we had a competent coach and GM I could imagine talking to Washington about trying to swap for Beal with LaVine as the centerpiece and one more piece to make salaries match. And we would have no injuries in this alternate world also. Would they hang up the phone?
