he's a nice player but I think CoJo is earning minutes and Tyreke is just getting comfortable so I don't think a backcourt change is the answer.

It's crazy how underrated Mirotic is.

I think Kevin Love is on the market for the cheap (not much more than a salary dump) and he could fit decently well for the Pacers.
He's the only potentially difference maker (if healthy) that I could think of that the Pacers actually have a chance at trading for.
He would mean the end to the Myles + Domantas hopes, but it doesn't look like they are going to be able to play together anyway.
Kevin Love may not be the sexiest of the names right now, but he's got championship experience and as someone mentioned in a previous post, in a market where most teams will have cap space, Pacers risk to overpay just to fill the roster with mediocre players.

Holiday playing well with Vic out.

Leadership by Thad and DC key. real danger a trade of a leader for more talent could backfire.

If we don’t think Myles and Dom can play together, I think Love merely amplifies those issues 10-fold. I don’t see that it would work any better.

No thanks, especially with Dragic’s seeming decline in production over the last three seasons. I’m not sure he’s much of an improvement over what we have, and he’s much more expensive. It’d take packaging two of our productive rotation expirings to trade for him and opens up other holes in doing so. His salary next year seems like it could become a major issue if he keeps slowing down.

If Bradley Beal didn't play the same position as Vic, that would be where I'm looking.

Wall then? looks like the Wiz are ready to think about blowing it up.

I've always thought Wall was as much a part of their problem as he is a part of their solution.

can't argue with that. JMichael seems to be saying Wall isn't the defender he once was before injuries. Beal would be a great get if he could play with Vic or if he can defend 3's as well as Bogie can (assuming Bogie is in the deal although didn't they give up on him once?).

tonight will tell a lot. need to see how the new guys step up with Vic out.

I'll just add that Wall's salary will average $42M per year for the next four years. Yeah, I'd be trying to dump him too if I was Washington. Can't imagine being the moron who gave him that deal. I'd have let him walk instead.

I'd take Beal for sure.

I'm a big fan of Wall but he doesn't really fit the team imo. and Porter's too mediocre to be worth making a move for. Beal is a two way player with legit scoring ability - yes please.

What can we offer for Beal? DC/CoJo+Holliday+McDermont+1st? I dont think it is good enough... but we cant offer anything else...Turner is not tradeable until next summer, Vic and Sabonis are key players... Bogie already has been there...

So is anyone else onboard with trading for Ricky Rubio?

I'm thinking something along the lines of Tyreke Evans + DC for Rubio + filler

Wing and guard rotation:
Bogie/Dougie
Vic/CoJo/Sumner
Rubio/Holiday/Sumner

Opens up more minutes for Dougie (I see either him or CoJo starting at SG if Vic is out), moves CoJo to full time backup SG (I like him there better), moves Holiday into the rotation, and potentially opens up playing time for Sumner

As long as Pacers resign Rubio, the PG position is set for the long term future with a Rubio-Holiday pairing, with Rubio being the vet who is better at defense and playmaking, and Holiday being the rookie who is better at shooting and scoring in general; Pacers can then focus on addressing other parts of the roster

I mean Pacers could always try to sign Rubio as an FA, but the chances of signing him are higher if he was already on the team

Utah values Rubio higher than that. You’d have to have either Holiday or a 1st in there. It I’m not sure I see him as an answer. With his terrible shooting, you’re really limited on whom else you can put out there on the court. You really can’t have him and Thad on the court at the same time. At all. Defenses would just pack the paint tight. And at 28, he’s not necessarily a long term answer there either.
