Luka can easier guard Gasol than JJJ. :)

Rookies tend to look bad in advanced stats. Most of the high picks play on terrible teams and they are transitioning to a different style/role than college.

Grizzlies, Clippers, Magic and Kings are all in positive territory. Even more interesting is ratings by positions, because bigs tend to have better Rpm.

Well that's if Bamba doesn't reach his upside...what a great draft class so far.

Along with Ayton and Doncic WCJ had the highest floor in the draft and you can argue that JJJ had the highest ceiling with the most room to grow.

Some had very accurate picture even then. https://www.thestepien.com/2018-draft-rankings/

I agree and I think WCJ, JJJ and Bamba will end up being the best bigs from this draft. I wouldn't have drafted Ayton nor Bagley in the top 5 to be honest. First thing to look at when scouting bigs is their defense and I doubt that Ayton will ever have a positive impact defensively while I believe Bagley will be stuck in no man's land positionally-speaking in this new NBA. It's way early though and they have plenty of time to make these predictions look foolish.

All I know is I'm hella jealous Dallas got Dončić 20 years after Dirk. Since 1998, the Knicks only picked higher than 5th once. Shows how incompetent this franchise has been the last two decades. Luka is definitely a generational talent, now it's up to him to put in the work to reach his (insane) potential.

As a Knicks fan, Knox has been a major disappointment so far. His body language looks really bad and the Knicks are already working on his motor issues. It's still early and hopefully these are just confidence issues but early signs are not good.

Not the greatest quality but JJJ gets the steal on Doncic, the spin move to finish, and a foul. He is so fun to watch. (Doncic is fun too)

Wish both could get a foul call once in a while.

Trae with an efficient 25/17 assists vs Clips. Great game for him. His ability to get open for shots and create is fantastic for a rookie.

I really want Zion in Atlanta. Such a good pairing.

Why use the word efficient? 25 and 17 is nice, no need to lie about it. 8/22 and 1/5 isn't efficient. Even more with 6 TOs.

Calm down with the "lie" word buddy. Big difference between a lie and a mistake. At half he was shooting 50%, even pre 4th quarter he was somewhere around there. I didn't realize he shot so badly in the 4th and had 6 turnovers. He was 8/20 late 4th, guess he missed a couple late I didn't account for. Regardless, extremely promising showing from a rookie. His efficiency will improve.

Hamidou Dialo is 7-7, 2-2 from 3 for 18pts right now.

Presti may not be the greatest at trades, but he can draft.

Aaron Holiday has gotten legit playing time the last two games with Dipo out. He's scored 31 points in his 36 minutes. The Pacers probably don't win that Hawks game without him. He subbed in and just kinda took over.

He scored in a variety of ways as well, deep 3s, transition, contested layups, mid range jumpers, it didn't matter, he just made it look easy. Very pesky as a defender as well. Plays with a lot of energy. I haven't been SUPER excited about Holiday, but man, he has shown up these last two games.
