Is this a preview what russ will look like when he’s three years older? This is absolutely disgusting. No effort on defense and just jacking threes like he’s Steph curry.

They are literally giving to the ball to whoever Westbrook is guarding.

Westbrook clearly isn't 100%. He isn't even trying defensively at all.

Russ playing awful. It doesn’t help that they are pairing Schroder with him on the defensive end.

After russ missed that layup he didn’t even show up on the television on the defensive end until the kings shot clock was at 11.

Six quarters against the Kings this year....

200 points allowed.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

The “tax” implication argument is silly with TLC. He’s still on a rookie deal. You don’t trade for Melo, then trade for Schroder to scrimp over a guy like TLC.

I know I know, we're short handed, Russ is rusty. BUT I will be god damned if that wasn't a frustrating half of a basketball to watch.

the way westbrook is playing precludes smart basketball.

and they have to play them together. because it's the only way schroder will regain his value enough that he can be traded next summer when the real tax crunch hits.

westbrook's just mentally lazy.

Bloody hell Russ is **** - but as long as he gets his shots and rebounds he be happy. Him being back has thrown a wrench in the team play. And the team is paying him $200 mil over the next 5 years to play dumb selfish BBall. I hope the trade Adams to a different team, this one is stuffed as long as Russell runs the show.

Not too mention that Ferguson and Abrines are out and Kings are staying small.

sure you do. they could have kept singler and had another valuable trade chip (as a non-guaranteed deal in 2019-20) but chose to stretch him. yes they blew some tax dollars on schroder relative to a melo stretch but the big crunch is coming next year. declining TLC's option saves the team over $10 million next year after tax payments. it's 100% a tax move.

Hopefully the refocus for the second half. I’ll check the score when I wake up to pee in the middle of the night. The first half performance doesn’t merit staying awake for the second half. I’ve lost too much sleep in my life for west coast best downs. That’s why I have a dvr.

That tax payment wouldn’t be due till June of 2020. There is a ton of time between now and then. I get saving money, but there are countless other ways to save money while still seeing what you have on your roster.

Meh, every guy gets one when coming back from an injury.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.
