Id love upgrade from Fournier to Beal.
I just dont see a realistic scenario. We dont have many assets to give up unless we want to break up BIG

I actually think that could do it, or some combination of Vuc/Fournier.
Beal is only 25 too, we could have a formidable squad next season if we pull this off....

Hard pass on that deal. Walls contract is poison. Even if it wasn't they don't get along now. Why bring them both on our roster as if a change of uniform will make them get along better. Beal Id want. Wall is a no thanks
Beal is on a palatable contract.... high.... but i can be happy with dealing out that kind of money for a two way player that in my opinion fits in and complete 4/5 of the starting line up for the next near 3 seasons. Wall's salary i won't even touch with a 10 ft pole. It's about to explode and just become a really bad value with that sOOperMAX kicking in.
Beal for Fournier+Simmons+ minimally protected 1st rounder (as i think we will be a MUCH better team with him in the line up)... wouldn't mind getting back another asset from them too.
You would want another asset from them in addition to Beal? We're already trading them one of the worst players in the NBA statistically, they'd be asking US for more assets and we'd have to in order to get that deal done.

Wizards wouldn’t even accept that deal on 2k.. Realistically I imagine it would take one of BIG to get it done.

BIG is just thing in heads of Magic fans
that 3 players played ONE MIN THIS YEAR TOGETHER
It's a nice marketing thing to print shirts but in reality does not exist.
They don't play together probably because they look terrible in practice together.
Cliff literally tried everything but them in games. That's all fan with sense of logic needs to know about their future.

Re: Official Speculation Thread ‘18-19’: XIX: Rise of the BIG
So common sense here is that in first year that team is good in last 7 years, team needs to get worst, trade best player for second round pick and tank just to justfy some mid lottery picks they drafted last two years, who look good only because they play 18-20 mpg off bench?
Amazing. Just amazing. I can't even.
And push "BIG" agends, combination of players that they never actually play together, because they are "future".
Might as well sell house and buy lottery tickets for it. Sounds identical.
btw all of you know that Magic won't tank. Magic didn't tank since 2013.
Magic picked their direction with Steve Clifford hire, you know that pretty damn well

I used "Big" because it was a shortcut not because its a thing
next time Ill call them GIB or IBG BGI
anyway
Im not ready to trade any of them and rest of our guys wont bring us Beal.
If I really had to obviously Id trade AG

Re: Official Speculation Thread ‘18-19’: XIX: Rise of the BIG
A Wall deal before July 1 is unlikely in part due to complexities surrounding his 15 percent trade kicker -- believed to be the first trade kicker that would be spread over the length of a supermax contract. Trade kickers cannot lift a player's salary above his maximum in the year he is traded, meaning Wall's payout could shrink if the Wizards trade him in 2019-20 once he shifts onto his supermax deal -- and perhaps close to $0 in that 2019-20 season, sources say.
If they trade him before then, they might owe him a giant lump sum, sources say. (Wall's 2018-19 salary of $19.2 million is well below his eligible maximum because he signed his current deal under a lower salary-cap figure.) None of this is 100 percent clear in the collective bargaining agreement, and it will need to be studied further if it proves relevant. Rises in salary cap at some point during the length of Wall's supermax could trigger further trade kicker payments to him.
^ Zach Lowe on the John Wall trade kicker.

I would prefer keeping Gordon who showed ability to play within his role instad going full Westbrook for first time in his career and Isaac and Bamba are players that might never become anywhere near Beal's level.
As i said in other topic, Beal at age of 21 averaged more points than two of them togher right now. Guy is one of best players at his position . And he is 25. just 4 years older than Isaac. Not some 32 years old dude.

By agenda you mean focusing on wins when it's clear that team simply refuses to bottom it down for last 6 years?
Than sure. I have agenda.

Maybe i just don't see end game of drafting 6-10 and collecting half a** prospects that each needs 4 years to look like nba player as timeline of rebuild every year just moves for another 2 years? It's almost 2019. Magic didn't play in playoff game since May 8th, 2012.
It was that long ago that in 2012 Steve Nash and Derron Williams were both allstars.

My concern with Beal and Wall is conditioning, you could see it in the first game against the Wizards, they ran out of gas. Hopefully they have the character to work after they've received those big paydays. I saw a workout photo of Wall and a he had a roll of fat over the waistband of his shorts. 5 or 6 lbs can make the difference between star and mediocre.
I think Brooks is doing a horrible job conditioning those guys. Maybe Clifford could do something with them. I feel like our team is in the best shape they've ever been. Early in the season you could see they had no legs from running so much but now it's paying off. They look in so much better shape than the teams we play and it was clear against the Wizards.

Your agenda is to rush things becaue you cant wait anymore. You cant wait?Dont.Anybody keep you hostage here?
Bamba is a half ass prospect?Maybe give him at least few months before labeling him?

If they are blowing up WAS, they want picks. Mozgov and Simmons + unprotected 2019 first rd pick and OKC frp.
Mozgov matches salary and expires earlier. Simmons is only guaranteed $1m. 2 big picks. That may not be enough. We'll improve instantly, so the 2019 pick devalues. Even if it was late lottery, it's not going to be another Beal unless someone picks really well.
Could substitute Evan for Moz, but I'd maybe want to add lottery protection or expand it a bit for Satoransky or something of possible value.

Those of you hoping for Beal or Kemba or even Wall, it is highly unlikely a team trades an all star within its division. Don’t want to see them 4 times a year coming back for vengeance and beating them in the standings. Look what happened with Kawai and Butler. Even in the conference is not preferred but definitely within the division either requires a slam dunk offer (which we wouldn’t want us to make) or complete desperation (which won’t happen with Beal or Kemba). If they are moved I would look for them to go West. We should be looking to the Western conference for potential all star or top prospect level trade opportunities for the Magic.

Portland is like top of the power rankings and playing good. I doubt they ever trade Lilliard or McCollum. Just a pipe dream unless they get a deal they cannot refuse.
