absolutely not. after this year, you have Wall in his 30's making over $42mil/yr. that is 1/3 the cap for 1 player, he is not worth that.
First, I agree that Wall isn't worth that money. He isn't the guy to pay that much for.
But this opens the door for a point I keep trying to make that no one here seems to be able to argue against.
For the next 4 years we are built around Gordon on a friendly decreasing contract and Isaac / Bamba on rookie deals. We have the luxury of being able to overspend on one player and still fill out our roster during this window. Once Isaac and Bamba need new deals that no longer holds but do we want to go all in on a massively overpaid star to help to early development of Isaac and Bamba?
This is the same situation as say the Rams in the NFL being able to hand out ridiculous contracts to defensive players like candy due to their QB being a low price rookie contract.
Again, I'm not a believer that Wall is the guy to help Isaac and Bamba but for the right guy, I really don't care how bad the contract is. And you shouldn't either...
