Just had a very terrible conversation with a fellow Rocky fan and it was about Rocky's funeral since we were discussing Milo Ventimiglia being in this. Of course Adonis shows up, but we were thinking about Clubber and Mason Dixon to real life fighters like Stallone's good friend, Sugar Ray Leonard. Then more boxers showing up since Rocky's been well integrated in the real world like Tyson (who was also in Rocky Balboa), and Andre Ward, and every boxer that grew up watching these movies coming to say goodbye.

I'm just saying, prepare to lose your: censored: if this happens.

oh, i will.

Going tonight. Can’t wait. Was rewatching parts of Rocky IV to get myself ready. Gonna get loaded at the bar across the street first.

The basketball version of a major upset by a huge underdog is when Lebron beat GSW.

This was a GOOD film but not GREAT like the 1st one. It was very uneven at times mixed with some recycled story telling. Again - good movie but missed its shot at being special.

Agreed. Parts of the film felt extremely fast-forwarded while other segments carried on for too long. It could've been a far more cohesive timeline, especially with it being 2 hours and 10 minutes long. All in all, solid film but I prefer the first.

Going tonight? Eh hem!!! Excuse you, we have a game tonight in case you didn't know it. The non-game weekend night is the date night.

Good film but I still liked Creed 1 more. It embraces the Rocky movie tropes even more than the first one imo but does it well.

Creed II is a really good film and a solid follow-up to the first one: it doesn't disappoint.

Creed 3 should be Creed vs. Creed. Half brother vs. half brother.

It was a good solid follow up, but I liked the first one more.

maybe slight edge to the first for me, but both great.

this one took me on a massive emotional rollercoaster, which i'm sure was the intention.

boxing is cool, but the rocky series is so much about the human condition. i love it.

Yo, I low key almost found myself becoming a Viktor Drago fan. I was subconsciously rooting for him. Loved how they built up his character. I honestly can't even really call him a villain.

Spoiler:
One of my only beefs was the ending. They could have went a total diff route and really pushed VD forward and put him on equal footing with Donnie if they just tweaked the writing and the ending. Really could have possibly set up a second spin-off or just kept the franchise linear and branded VD almost as the new Rocky to Donnie being the new Apollo. Writer dropped the ball there. Coogler or Sly should have caught that.

Oh man the Rocky 4 soundtrack was rough to say the least  ....first thing i think of when i look back to that movie. Right after 5 I did get to meet Tommy Morrison and Burt Young at Foxwoods when Id set up and break down events. back then all they had was a bingo hall for shows. Tommy fought some stiff.

but they were both super cool, especially Burt who wouldn't let me go without shaking his hand.

There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.
