Burton needs to tell Westbrook to just get out of the way. He got this. Lol

And Westbrook is still out here trying to shoot 3s. Amazing.

this has to be one of Westbrook's worst games in terms of shot selection. Just forcing awful shot after awful shot. The rest of the team can't even get any semblance of rhythm with him just jacking idiotic shots like this.

I’m going to look at the stats after the game but it feels like russ’ jump shot is worse than ever. His decision making tonight has been poor. I really wish someone in the media would ask him about his continuing to force the issue on his three point shooting.

I've always supported Russ no matter what he does on the court... but this shot selection when he comes back in, in the 4th... yikes
One play doesn't determine a game, but if he just attacks off that kick out to him at the 3 instead of shooting it way short (yet again) that game could be cut to 5 or 6 points right there.

And what do we get out of the timeout? Another Westbrook 3. Lovely. He’s 1/10 now.

Jokic with a stinker game. Need to capitalize on that and take the win.

I worry that if we win this it reinforces the idea that you can play stupid and still win.

Lmao. After Westbrook takes and misses his 10th three, George, Schroder and Grant all proceed make one. You can’t make this stuff up.

Our defense has looked much better in second half. We are going to need some magic to happen to pull this one out.

Welp. I guess the Rockets losing to the Cavs will have to suffice for tonight.

westbrook's behavior in games like this is what separates him from other current nba superstars. yeah, yeah other stars make silly plays or have dumb moments but no one else is like westbrook with this emotions driven 'dagger' seeking. it really makes a difference sometimes.

I think if we could've hit reset on this one at the half, the outcome might've been different.

Hats off to the Nuggets for their play in the first half. Their level of play still might've been enough to net them a 7-10 point halftime lead on a night we had brought even our B game. But we played our F- game in the 1st half and it was obviously way too much to overcome. That 1st half was the worst half of ball I've seen us play this year.

The Nuggets are legit this year. They remind me of some of those 2011-2013 teams after Carmelo went to New York. They're unfairly deep but, this time, they actually have a legit All-Star anchoring their lineup in Jokic.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

This game in itself doesn’t mean much. That being said I have a very hard time with the way Westbrook played tonight. It’s such stubborn obstinance to common sense. Just one person in the local media say, “russ what’s wrong with your free throw shooting? When you were 1-5 from three, did you think about going away from the three point shot?” I’ve never cheered for a player that frustrated me so much. He’s still better than schroder.

While I do think that Westbrook would be a more effective player if he cleaned up his shot selection, he's already 30, and he won't change I don't think... So it's best to just embrace it, and try to work around it.

he's made other changes. he's just overly susceptible to getting caught up in moments i think, and losing focus. that's not going to change most likely.
