Problem is defense sucks, all the team does is want to shoot 3s, and we are relying on a bench that we think is better than it is.
RoZier is terrible. We didn’t play Hayward tonight. It was Smart off the bench and NOTHInG.

Not tweaks. A big change. Tweaks will do no good
What realistic big change we can do though? I have a hard time seeing the Celtics trading Hayward so after that I don’t see a whole lot of options

This is stupid. We sit. Get him unless he gets max. So, it is either horford on this deal, or no horford. What is your decision.

Imma keep it 100 with you chief. I didn't like the Horford signing, i was in the minority being against signing him.
Great. But you were wrong. we are 50 plus win team the previous two years and made the ECF twice after his signing. It isnt an accident that he was there for those 2 seasons.
He has to play better, and he is getting older. But still a good player.

I have a hard time seeing one also. Celtics are in a tough spot. Ainge went all in and they are underachieving. Ainge might have to suffer a lost season and make moves in the off-season

Get some shooting.
Play better D. You can’t keep on getting Rozier out there and playing like this.

Usually you want your max contract players to look something like max contract players. Is that too crazy to ask?
Dude, horrible that we have to listen to you complain about this team in every game thread. You aren't even a Celtics fan, if we are being real.
Literally everyone is complaining about this team right now, and has been most of the season. 80% of this game thread is complaining. If I'm complaining through wins, then feel free to call me out on it. When we're losing to the Mavs, Hornets, Knicks, etc - what do you expect? Gino time should be starting with the 4th quarter against these teams.

How are we first in defensive rating? Can’t be true.

I had a feeling we would beat the Hawks and I had a feeling we would lose this one against the Mavs.
I said a few days ago that I don’t care about wins or losses for now because the coach and the team don’t care about winning right now.
But I care about effort and energy and this team didn’t have much effort tonight. The only guys that played with effort were Smart and Baynes.

Teams take their cues from their leader. If the leader goes 1 on 1 all the time, then the rest of the guys think it's okay to play that way too. He's clearly our most talented guy, but I hate teams that go 1on1 all the time.

Stevens has to tell these guys to quit shooting so many three pointers and drive to the basket more. Everyone on this team thinks they’re Curry. The ball movement isn’t there from last year either.

Maybe he has told them, but they are not listening. Brad is not a very vocal person.

You’re probably right, but if they’re not listening they have to go. There’s probably too many egos on this team and too many younger players trying to get paid. It destroys chemistry.

This was actually one of my bgigest fears for this team. The chemistry was going to have to be completley on point for this to work out... and I think we're seeing how these guys cannot not form a cohesive unit with Kyrie, Gordon and the others back into the mix. There was enough personality on the team as it was, now you add thsoe guys back? Either it's going to take a little bit for us to get into it, or it's never happening. I'm still giving this until about halfway through the season. Then I'll hit the panic button.

It was scary to hear Tatum explain that he needs to start driving to the basket more "until" his 3 starts dropping more and/or he can otherwise get the 3 going. I do think there is some sort of gap in their coaching at this point.
