He's taking double the amount on dribble/pull up 3s and not hitting them. So less pull ups off the dribble, more catch and shoot nut coach has to run those plays, his teammates need to look for him in those situations and Trae needs to move without the ball and make himself available for those opportunities.
My point is, if he made only few catch and shoot 3s, the sample is too small to be representative. Trae problem is that he more or less cannot play off ball at the moment. I agree he must develop this part off his game, but I don’t believe he is 44% catch and shoot shooter in big volume at the moment. And playing more off ball means much less assists and that’s the best part of his game.
The stats are what they are based on the number of games he's played. Do with it what you will.
If he's averaging 6 3s per games - 2 are catch and shoot, 4 are dribble pull ups - that's the stat I read regarding him taking twice as many of pullups vs catch n shoot. He needs more opportunities of one and less of the other.
He made 1/25 3s in last 6 games. Meaning he is not shooting catch and shoot at all in last 6 matches or his catch and shoot % is not 44. I kinda doubt this stats is right or is more or less from the start of the season. in any case is extremely small sample. And if it’s right than he’s shooting pull ups around 10%.
