That's the thing, innit

If Andre Roberson and Tony Allen have a place in the league, so does Frank. Even if he doesn't improve one bit on offense, he's still at least as good as them on that end, with potential to be as good on defense

People saying he shouldn't be in the league at all or wouldn't even play in Europe are off. He may end up as nothing more than a role player, but he definitely has a place in the league

Cavaliers Willing To Take On Long-Term Salary On Trade Market
NOV 28, 2018 10:23 AM

The Cleveland Cavaliers have begun to express to rival teams that they may be willing to take on long-term salary as the trade deadline approaches, according to sources.

The Cavaliers have trade assets in Kyle Korver and George Hill. Hill is owed just $1 million in guaranteed money next season.

While a lot of teams have cap space this offseason, the Cavaliers are willing to look out a few years to be a dumping ground for a contract.

they're actually rebuilding. as greenie says, we're sort of just retooling for the 1 year. a rebuild takes time normally. you can't plan for it to all work out in 1 year. now if the knicks get zion and durant comes then it could all work out but that's a huge if.

you don't hire fiz to slowly develop young players...they wanted fiz in the room attracting FA's...it was always the plan...the young guys will either develop on there own or they will be moved for better more ready now pieces when we are ready to actually win.

A coach with more of a background of development and x's and o's would have been a signal they planed on going the youth route...they are just buying time till FA's hits...that where they are planning to make headway.

Are you the same ones who want Durant? Because if you are, you’re going to be extremely disappointed in the case he comes here.

The Warriors play team oriented ball and move the ball better then any team in the league...and Durant is on that team

Im very aware of what type of team the warriors are, my statement remains the same about Durant.

Iso'ing is necessary at times and you often need a great iso player like Durant. Durant can play in a system and thrive too.

Knicks problem even goes beyond just iso'ing or even Durant though. We need a system.

Exactly.

Short of a top 10 offensive player of all time joining this roster, the ceiling for this path we’re on is very low.

I just wish everyone would admit it instead of making garbage excuses and pretending this isn’t the case.

If you believe it to be true though, then that would also mean that the organization, from top to bottom, is full of sh*t when they say they are focused on development.

There is no separation from those conclusions.

I mean we are the knicks.....

Any dumb **** that is reported about us is feasible.

I remember this past summer around the draft the ringer guys were hyping knox up lot i think there more disappointed then the knicks are with knox. I do believe the ringer guys about frank and mario and the knicks have been disappointed in them, just look at the minutes both have played lately not lot minutes for the both of them.

Damn I’ve never seen so much negativity around the team before and we’ve had seasons with expectations with no results, AND no draft pick. It’s kind of funny.

I’d try to get fultz for frank. If not I’d move him with lee for an expiring. That 17.5 million will be more useful. But there’s a closing window of opportunity for us to get something out of that pick.

thats true, but you see the youngest roster in the NBA and a potential at a high pick and people are on edge because with excitement comes more investment.

When we had no picks and no cap space you kinda just knew the outcome...there is so much uncertainty for a franchise since we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel you just don't want to get blindsided and steam rolled by a semi coming the opposite direction.

why? It's not like any real FAs will come next season if we were to do that

There’s a few young guys on this team that might be worth an extended look. We could use that money to keep one or two and still have the money we just opened up.

I don't know if there are many people to expend that $ on that's worth giving up any of our young players in my opinion. It's just too early in the season. Many of our young players playing well could easily regress

Speaking of TheRinger podcasts, Bill Simmons tossed out an interesting proposal on his pod:

Tim Hardaway Jr for Wes Matthews’ contract

Case for NYK
- obvious

Case for Dallas
- The west is a muddled mess and they have no incentive to tank since they traded pick to get Doncic
- Doncic is more suited to play for a veteran laden team so it makes some sense to acquire good vets sooner than later
- THJR is pretty good

I'm done getting all hype up on "potential". I thought Shump was gonna turn out to be at least a nba all defender, but he wasn't. If the right deal comes along for Frank then I would consider shipping him out tbh.

I don't see what unloading Timmy does for us. unless we sign a superstar and draft a superstar, we aren't going to do anything. All getting rid of Timmy does is give our front office an opportunity to overpay another player instead.
