This aint fluke, 20 games in ,21,4 ppg ,8,8 rpg ,2,0 apg, 52%FG, 43% for 3, 82% FTs , guy has been monster and best player on team that has 14-6 record and holds 2# on West.

Both him and Dipo would be massive upgrades for Magic roster.

He is a talented basketball player, period. And other than when he was traded to the pistons, he’s been traded for really good players, so no shame in getting traded. He’s going to get straight paid in the offseason, which is cool because he works really hard and seems like a good dude

It’s definitely no fluke regarding Tobias. I’ve looked at how he’s playing, whether he’s just getting better spacing, or just scoring more with a similar efficiency. The reality is he’s become a pretty good player who’s very efficient. He’s currently 9th in RPM in the league for SF’s.

Gordon is the better defender but hopefully in 3 years his efficiency will reach where Tobias is today.

The Magic is in a playoff slot right now even though both starting guards have not played well. Let's say Agustin upgades to "not horrible," if Fourier finds his shooting touch, this Magic team looks to finish with a wining record. Yes I accept those are two big IFs, but
Fournier should find his rhythm. It is consistent with all statistics on his play.

Losing when you are actually hoping to win sucks. I never cared that we lost until this season, now it still annoys me the next day after a loss.

Sounds like a great time to buy low then
I think he still has potential as a stopper. He’s even younger than Bamba lol I won’t call him a bust yet

People use individual stats to form too many broad opinions. If Tobias was still here his stats would not look like that. He'd be the 3rd wheel on the Evan and Vuc Show...and people would be talking about how much he's plateaued. Oladipo would be in a time share with Fournier... and they'd be BS'ing each other about how much they enjoy playing together.

Wanna know why Tobias's scoring efficiency is up? He's got free reign and a situation that is ideal for him being surrounded by floor spacers and defenders. He doesn't play D, but he doesn't have to.

PG Patrick Beverley
SG Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
SF Danilo Gallinari
PF Tobias Harris
C Boban Marjanovic

They are in 1st place and looking like a prime destination for Kawhi next year.

Magic are dumb. Stuck on thinking that an offensive minded C who plays no defense can lead their team. It's ass backwards.

you dont know that. being here longer than Evan, he could have taken a more primary role with Vuc. he put up 17/10 when he was here with Dipo and Vuc, no reason he couldnt put up similar numbers as he has this year, or even just something in between the 2. and who are these defenders? SGA is putting up worse defensive numbers than HArris. Gallinari? Louis Williams? He has a couple of defenders in Beverly (worse defensive numbers of his career) Bradley (worse defensive numbers of his career). Harrell is about the only one who is defending on that team.

For me that he has no as-of-yet defined position has hampered his growth. I would project him as an off-the-ball 1-guard. But whether he evolves to a natural lead guard, a 2-guard, a combo-wing, or whatever, his shooting needs to be 10% better.

Ntilikina needs a 35% three-ball or he will never be a consistent NBA starter.

Right now he reminds me of Jerry Reynolds, and that is not a good thing.

Ntilikina looks pretty crappy on offense now but I guess that’s why he’d be available to buy low.

He’s gigantic though. Could see him evolving into a small forward who can provide a little playmaking but defend 1-4.

If buying low on a second year guy is possible, I’d rather look to DSJ. Might not be a thing yet but it could be.

Elf was traded for a high 2nd rounder and hes better than Frank, so honestly wouldnt offer anything more than a future 2nd rounder for him

I just don't get the regret. Regret about the trade return value? Sure.

Tobias put those numbers up when AG was on the bench too. Something had to give. I think we are closer to bouncing back with Gordon than we would have been with Tobias and Gordon is 3 years younger.

Grant and a 2nd for Frankie Smokes.

Ntilikina is having a horrible year, but for perspective, he's younger than Mo Bamba.

I'd be interested to see if there's still some developing left to do there.

I will only be intrigued by Frank if we get him for cheap and I mean CHEAP. We can't afford having another long player who has no offensive capabilities what so ever. He has shown that he can't really be a PG and he struggles at even being a SG right now. His place in the NBA is in a murky position. He is young and there is an obvious room for development but are we in a situation where we can groom more players than the ones we already have on the slate? I think the Magic need to make moves that make them better now and for the future.

Elf was also in the league for 3.5 seasons and hadn't improved much. Frank is much younger and just started his 2nd season.
