Diallo for Bjelica suggestion is like some of the old Adams for Player X scenarios thrown out with the same line of logic. Wasn't Anthony Tolliver one of those Xs at one point? A guy at that age, with that type of athleticism, who already seems to get it on a rookie contract is so much more valuable than a 30-year old mildly above average player. That much should be obvious.

Hopefully the injury occurred soon enough they can try to rush him back for the playoffs.

So, an avulsion fracture means the tendon actually tore off a piece of the bone? That seems like it doesn't bode well.....
Counter point: his tendons are now stronger than bone?

“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

When can we apply for inured player exception?

Another cracker jack job by the Thunder medical staff and right after they told us that he was making "good progress in his rehab"

"Slight discomfort" are the words they are choosing to use, but I would be surprised if it was just a bit of soreness/discomfort when it happened. Probably more along the lines of a sharp sudden pain which prompted them to get the MRI done.
He's probably been dealing with a bit of discomfort for a while, but they don't want to let on how much they botched this situation so they are making it seem like some setback.
Six weeks is probably very optimistic, but they will probably try to have him back in 5 weeks knowing them.

Can’t wait until the local media blast the thunder staff. Here comes the wrath of Tramel, Maddie Lee, Horne and Jenny Carlson.

I hope Sam is starting to look into a proper replacement for Roberson. Sounds like he is done. Poor guy. At least that 2k chick can take his mind off of things

How did they botch it? I’m not saying this team has fared well with injuries but it’s a stretch to say that this was botched. More than likely this is a gruesome and devasting injury (which it was), which lends itself to more regular setbacks.
I think this likely says something about the availability of Ferg/Abrines/Diallo in trade talks. Basically they can’t afford to really move any of these guys now

Any time a player immediately reinjures himself its a good possibility he wasn’t ready or was forced to do too much too soon. I disagree with slick that this problem is unique to the thunder but I do think it’s very common in all of sports. I get sick every time I get a flu shot like like clockwork within a couple of days. Yet medical science tells me it doesn’t make me sick. What do both these scenarios have in common? They are both all about money.

1000% agreed. It makes it really tough to move any of them, but I could see one possibly being moved if it brings back a bit better shooting.
This was my concern at the beginning of the year and the news about Roberson just reinforces that concern for me.
I honestly think you just have to let Abrines and Ferguson keep shooting and let them learn from their mistakes in-game at this point. Donovan seems to be at helping some young guys figure it out.

Yeah at this point seems it's on the staff, at least in part. There's every sign of malpractice or incompetence from what I can tell. And they're stuck with trades because most guys don't make enough money for a 2 for 1 deal.

I’m not super sure on this but I think trade exceptions cannot be combined.

Alright man. I guess we just are going to have to disagree on this one.
