Isaac or Bamba?
ok guys, seems fairly peaceful around here. Time for me to stir things up.
Gun to your head, we got a chance to get a 1st-tier PG via trade. 1st tier meaning NOT a superstar in the nold of Kyrie, Dame, Curry ( 1st tier meaning Kemba, Wall, Lowry, )
However, aside from the 1st round picks and us taking back bad contracts, they ask one of our young big. Question, who do we send for a trade?
Both are 7 footers, long-wing spanned, athletic and raw. While Isaac has shown more offense and better defnsive instinct, Vamba 3pt shot cannot be denied and plus a year of coqching like Isaac, he could put his gifts to use better.
Bad side is, Isaac ia injury prone and Bamba has bad motor. Both could change those deficiency in the future but we need to decide now.
*ahould i add a poll?*

Re: Isaac or Bamba?
Its Isaac, && it's not even a hard decision for me. He is the better prospect imo. But im not inclined to trade either. Even in a hypothetical situation AG and future firsts are what id be looking to move for a top-tier point guard if that scenario presented itself.

I like Isaac better as a prospect at this point.

Re: Isaac or Bamba?
I'd dare the person with the gun to shoot me. No reason to trade either player for those PGs. Kemba is the only one that would require that kind of package and we would be stupid to do it since he's expiring and likely not re-signing here with the superstar stats he's putting up. Wall can be had for cheap due to his bad contract. Lowry will be 33 later this season... we are not trading for him.

Gun to my head... keep Isaac, trade Bamba.
Isaac's physical gifts aren't as crazy as Bamba's are, but his motor, basketball IQ and awareness are all much higher.
I'd trade Gordon before I'd trade either one of them though.

Not a superstar then may as well stay the course and keep them. They can't dictate when it's not a superstar, sorry. I don't favor one over the other honestly at this point and am lukewarm on both. So, for star/1st level or still primed allstar, they can take their pick for me. For just good, then we can sweeten the pot in other ways or just keep drafting and growing.

Isaac easily, he has the instincts and more versatile, and can play 3-5

Re: Isaac or Bamba?
Didnt want a poll cuz I wanna know the reasoning of why we trade who.
1st tier could include such studs as Conley CP3 Goran TreyBae Wall etc etc. Superstar PGs for me are only Kyrie Dame and Curry ( those with signature shoes lol )
Reasoning for the trade NOW is we have a chance for a winning culture and as high as 5th spot for the playoffs.

well, i wouldnt trade for Wall and his contract and Lowry is done as a 1st tier PG. Also, Bamba is shooting 33% from 3, so lests not say his "3pt shot cannot be denied". But his defense is not great.
I would keep both another year and see who rises to the top. I dont believe we can get a "1st tier" PG and will have to go for that 2nd tier. Dinwiddie, Russell, Bledsoe, etc.

Re: Isaac or Bamba?
Yeah thats why this thread was up.. hypothetically we can get a 1st tier PG just not the superstar ( see who my 1st tier and superstars are)
I too would hate the thought of losong either JI or Bamba, but watching the last couple games.. i was pulling my hair out of frustration seeing our poor PG play plus Evan being in our team.
Thus this thread to upgrade PG and hopefully offset Evans play

Re: Isaac or Bamba?
I'd have to say goodbye to Bamba. I think JI is going to be something special. Bamba has the potential, but there's something that Isaac has about him that Bamba doesn't. They're both good high character kids. If I'm not getting shot though, I keep both.

Re: Isaac or Bamba?
Based on the current roster I’d say keep Bamba and get rid of Isaac. Why? We still have AG and I want Vuc gone.
If I’m not taking the roster into consideration I’m choosing Isaac based off of potential and being able to guard 3 positions effectively.
Or you can get rid of AG and keep both. That’s my vote.

I don't know why people are so quick to want to trade AG. On a good contract, playing very good basketball at the moment, improving every season and still only 23.

Re: Isaac or Bamba?
Tough choice since neither are fully developed. While Bamba has the ridiculous physical tools, Isaac understands the game more and has a higher motor/passion for the game.

Harris-Oladipo Syndrome is still strong on this board. lol.... jk
For the right person... everyone has a price that they are will to part with. But... getting trading AG in anything less than a star potential deal might be a bad idea.
