Luka had a terrible game, let's see how he bounces back. The whole team dropped a collective egg after the first quarter. Amazing games by JJJ and WCJ, I'm a little worried about Bamba though, even though he had a string of solid games prior to the last one and his three was finally falling.

He got frustrated with the refs too much i think. Anyway, you cant be playing on such a high level all the time. Nights off are to be expected.

my two favorite bigs of this class with huge games, Wendell Carter and JJJ. Only Luka had a terrible game shooting the ball. Blocked LeBron twice tho.

It's funny how internet reacted to Doncic's off night though. I rarely see this type of reaction almost about anyone's off night lol...
But in my opinion, i'm glad it happened. This is where his work ethic should kick in on the long run. Learn and adapt. We might not see it right away, but at least he experienced what it looks like when a team throws multiple long arm defenders at you during 1 game.

Teams are starting to prepare for him so its starting to get harder. I wrote about this a couple of weeks ago and since then his numbers dropped a bit across the board (even prior to this game). Teams now realise that he is Mavs best player and are focusing more on him. It had to come at some point, now its time for him to adapt.

JJJ's offensive skills were impressive in last game. If he gains confidence and keeps it up, he is out there for the ROY award.

His shot wasn't falling that's it, happens to everyone. He played some solid D though. I wish more people on our team played transition D instead of just standing and watching. Awful effort overall.
I was like 99% sure that Bamba will be a better player than Wendell. Look how that works out lol.

Came to this thread to brag about WCJ, but JJJ just had to out-do him. He's fantastic. Great draft class- it will go down as the draft class with all the bigs.

I haven't seen JJJ yet (he was the guy I wanted the Bulls to get-seems like he is a stud), but I would not trade WCJ for Ayton, Bagley or Bamba (all three look good). Lauri/Carter is an AWESOME core for us

Besides being a good player, SGA is one of those guys I just find fun to watch. Before the draft I was really hoping the Knicks would take him -- he's already the player I am hoping Ntilikina develops into, but with a more natural point guard handle and the confident and aggressive swag that Frank is lacking.
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

Yeah all the "how come so many of the top picks are bigs when the league is going small?!" takes from last year are looking especially dumb.

Doncic and JJJ have been the most impressive/impactful so far but I still got love for WC Jr and SGA too.
JJJ and WC Jr have been my favorites though, perfect modern day big men who play both ends. Interested to see how Bamba looks in a few years though.

Yeah, its true I said that PRIOR to his final season at Real Madrid- Eurobasket- etc but I ultimately came around to him as a great prospect with a Manu type ceiling.
I find it rather odd you spam this thread daily 20 games into a rookies career beating your chest. Let these rookies breathe and grow over the next 3-4 years sheesh.
You and your cult are the ones who spoke with absolutely certainty that his name belongs with Bird, Magic, Lebron, etc and threw a fit whenever anyone was more cautious and reasonable in their evaluations. Something tells me if he falls short of that HOF/MVP benchmark, you won't be the type to admit.
Funny enough, I remember suggesting Luka utilizing post ups to maximize his skillset and it was people like you who went into a fit of rage because "he is a PG" and other nonsense because you take everything as a slight lol. Then I read this today:
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25407024/10-things-like-including-luka-doncic-moves-nba
I never said that his name belongs in the same sentence as great basketball players. I only said that his ceiling cannot be Dragic or Ingles, because he’s already very close to them. And then the sky opened up.It’s early but some of your statements are funny even, if he regresses in second half of the season. Very funny. About post ups story, this is total bull, because he was doing post ups all the time in Europe too.
In the original Luka Doncic thread, I brought it up and your cult definitely pounced. I wasn't throwing out an Ingles or Dragic comp so I am confused. That is the thread where I said some uniformed things and you grew this little grudge you have now lol.
Then after that was locked and in the All Things Doncic thread, I evolved my position after watching him more extensively especially since he started flashing things I was concerned about prior though your cult was STILL irate that I wasn't on the generational first ballot HOF bandwagon.
I am ashamed of myself for contributing to your daily derail, especially because there is no way to hold you accountable 15 years out if all of the Bird/Magic/Lebron stuff is off the mark.
Have a nice day and I look forward to the next time you bring me up unprompted, friend
Also have to take into account white European fans in America want him to succeed to be that guy. The next great white hope is a thing.
His intelligence will be played up greatly to be vastly superior than the average player and his games will be deemed more important

Get out of here with this garbage, sorry excuse for an opinion. White European players are ridiculed by American NBA fans, and have to play at an extremely high level for years like Dirk did, or actually show tremendous, undeniable potential like KP did, in order to get praise. For a white European player nothing is given in the NBA, they have to fight for everything they get, unlike highly-touted American prospects, who always get the benefit of the doubt. It is completely ridiculous that you have this farce of an opinion when in reality not only this is not true, it's actually the total opposite of the reality that is taking place in the microcosm of the NBA.

Doncic - already the best player on his team.
JJJ - the most impactful player of all rookies.

No need to make it racial. Doncic is a special player so I get why he has such passionate fans. How special is where some of us disagree and these weird complexes of some of his most extreme fringe fans begin to surface. Downplaying other rookies to prop him up isn't necessary either. Seeing where all of these guys end up is a marathon not a sprint.
