mmmm, isnt the playoff only supposed to consider the current season?

I get his point but...

Memphis don't have guys like Riley Ferguson and Anthony Miller just to name 2 from last year's team and when we beat them earlier in the season, They have 0 points on their home field in the 2nd half, That got nothing to do with UCF's QB, that's all about UCF defense. It's easier for Memphis like all teams to play better on your home field than on the road.

Love our AD.

Also heard the interview and he said "or we're" after that line before changing course. I think legal action is on his mind if we are undefeated and left out again. Will be interesting.

Are you also upset over not being considered for the NFC Wild Card?

Competition matters. It has to as that is the only measuring stick we have.

The deck is stacked against UCF due to conference agreements filling the majority of their schedule and others. In that sense, yes the system is not perfect. But legal action? lol. Grow up and understand the reality of the situation.

We're not in the NFL...so no.

A playoff that doesn't allow an undefeated team in the same league (fbs) is a farce. Grow up and realize sports are about settling it on the field. Anything less is a disservice to the fans and the game.

If you argue otherwise, you're willfully ignorant.

Nothing on UCF’s schedule compares to wins over Michigan or Texas or LSU or Stanford or even Syracuse.

Even when you drop one of these games while winning three others it makes for a far superior portfolio than an undefeated season (even two) with UCF’s schedule(s).

If you argue otherwise, you’re willfully ignorant.

UCF would happily add all of "Michigan or Texas or LSU or Stanford or even Syracuse" to their schedule.

That's the rub: UCF would never get a home-and-away series from any of those teams (actually maybe Syracuse).

And I am not "willfully (sic) ignorant" in noting that fact.

There lies the hypocrisy in all of this; there is no way UCF can prove they belong as no Power-5 school has an interest in allowing them to succeed or fail.

Texas beats Oklahoma, and Alabama beats Georgia, and NorthWestern beats OSU: the result could be a two-loss Michigan team getting the 4 seed over UCF.

Georgia beats Alabama, and Texas beats Oklahoma, with NorthWestern beating OSU; and yet again a non-conference title Alabama gets in to the playoffs.

Does either of these scenarios seem OK to you?

Last year was more crystal clear: there was only one undefeated team.

This year it is actually considerably more complicated with 4 current undefeated teams.

Notre Dame is in the playoffs. If Alabama and Clemson win, the are certainly in. And the whole media world will be about OSU (who is certain to win) or Oklahoma (who might lose).

Frankly the playoffs is fairly set already and the AAC game is simply an entry ticket to a Fiesta Bowl birth.

Absolutely.

The playoffs are meant for the best teams; not the best records.

Do people know what the exact injury that Milton suffered was? It looked awful when I was watching the game live. Was really hoping that he avoided nerve damage or some other career threatening injury. I hope to see him play again.

Dislocated knee.

Artery damage. Nerve damage. Ligament damage.

The only way it could have been worse was if his nerve was severed, which it wasn't.

He suffered a very similar injury as Zach Miller of the Chicago Bears. Miller got hurt in October of 2017 (13 months ago), won't play this season, and isn't even close to returning.

Its not Darrell Mack fault that we lost, We have no defense for their runs and couple turnovers. We would have still lost with Mckenzie. We were very fortunate we beat Memphis earlier in the season and the conference championship game last year but we really have problems matching up with Memphis. Memphis might not be Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Notre Dame or Oklahoma but Memphis is still a good team. Exactly why I wanted to avoid Memphis so bad and play Houston, Tulane or SMU in the conference championship game.

If we don't really improve the defense next year, We'll continue having problems matching up with Memphis next year.

Who is Darrell Mack?

It’s still a close game in the 4th. Who has lost?

You are the worst kind of fan. Ignorant and fair-weathered.

As the eternal pessimist, I see us struggling mightily in this game. I have visions of us turning to Qadry Jones in hopes of some kind of spark in the 2nd half. Vegas still has us favored though, so that gives me hope.

I take it back. I take it alllllll back. Unbelievable. I will never doubt this team again.

Though I hope someday ESPN does a documentary that shows what Randy Shannon said before every game versus what he said at halftime.
