I consider Wiggins's contract worse. At least Wall is a good player

I agree but does Wiggins have the issues getting along with teammates?

I don't know, but he sucked so bad that Jimmy Butler wanted out - so that can't be much of a plus in his favor.

I mean this isn't close to me either. Wall is a good player. Wiggins is an awful one.

Wall. Wiggins doesn't have destroyed knees, younger, cheaper and has a 5% chance of maybe improving.

I’m not saying I disagree but you can bench a bad player to limit their damage. You can’t bench a locker room problem. Butler didn’t like the fort of the young guys but wall repeatedly has problems with multiple teammates. Also, his contract is more expensive.

Wall.

He is more expensive, has less chance of getting better and is more difficult to hide.
$45 million who needs the ball in his hands doesn't help you win is more difficult to deal with than the same for $30 millions.

It's tough but at least Wall can play. There is some chance that someone, at some point, would be interested in wall or you get value on the court from him because he can still turn in great play. Wiggins just has no redeeming value on the court or as a contract.

Exactly.

Wiggins isn’t worth a max contract. Wall is. He just isn’t worth a Super Max.

Wall is still a terrific player.

After stagnating for several years, he has actually seen a decline in production.

I'm not sure where you get that 5 percent chance of improving from but based on the evidence, I'd wager he's more likely to have a greater than 5 percent chance of coming off the bench once he can't hide behind the excuse of youth any more a a coaches start seeing him for what he is.

30 mill a year for a potential bench guy, and not even a good one at that, I'll take Wall.

Wall is a better player than Wiggins but I ain't wanting that Wall contract though, esp if trading for him.

dude will make close to $50M if traded lol
raf1995 wrote:I just don’t think he has that kind of potential. I think we will regret not trading him for a haul in a few years when he’s a mid-tier starter with nice playmaking and defense and a shaky jumper.

wiggins is bad and has seemingly regressed since his first two seasons. wall is way overpaid and the length of the contract might suck but at least he can contribute. i think the gap between wall and wiggins as players is larger than the 35% or so gap in their salaries.
