Dont have to. The french part was the translation of what he wrote in response of some american show.

Fournier also added his own part (in french though this time).

But basically all this debate is ridiculous honnestly. If we play this game, the country in the word who should praise Africa the most, i let you guess which it is. And considering the historical circumstances ...

Anyway back to Batum, i already said it plenty of times, since the first communication fail when he criticized D. Rose defense when he was a very young blazer in some itw without thinking about what the writers would do with what he said, he should think twice before saying something to the press or any media. And limit his usage of social medias.

Of course this won't happen.

edit : The reference is the reaction of french athletes to the comment they have heard/read on tv/reddit/soccer forums about Africa winning the world cup. Those athletes, incl. Batum, said clearly they were proud to be french and that France was the legit winner, without forgeting the african roots of some of its players.
There had been some drama over it between some usual racists comments and wannabe spindoctors & trolls of all kind on social networks. And some backfire to Batum's comments because in his 1st message he seemed to forget where he came from (well, his father at least) and some cameroon were - rightfully or pretending to be since there are facing internal disorder - offended . hence his clarification

Really? I mean I'm a bit out of the loop, but I got it.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

He's referring to the World Cup. Some people have attributed France's win to Africa and it has ruffled some feathers.

That would be a nice trade if the team decides to rebuild, it doesn't make sense otherwise.

I think it makes sense to free some room at the wing, especially if you consider that Batum can't play at the 2 anymore. Better to keep MKG at 12 even if he opts in and move Batum for Mr Anderson even if it costs some 2nd rounders.. Hornets would be crazy to refuse such a swap especially with the FA still not over (and some decent FA's still available).
The funny thing being that Batum was drafted by Houston (yeah and Pritchard traded to land him in Portland, but still).

Why would Houston do this to themselves? Batum is still owed 76.7 Million compared to Anderson 41.6 Million. And, they are both worth about the same imo.

Agreed, the extra year on Batum's deal combined with the insane amount of money owed to Chris Paul makes this a no-go if I'm the Rockets. Kent Bazemore makes more sense for them.

It's win now. Sure CP3 got a 4 year deal, but how many of those years do you think he'll play before he declines? I'd say 2 years, possibly 3 but doubtful. You could argue he's already in decline with his health issues. If they don't win a championship in the next 2 years, then they're not going to win a championship in the last 2 years of CP3s contract, so why not take on that salary? The only thing I disagree with is adding a 1st round pick to offload Batum. I don't think we would need to in this trade. Other trades, then yes.. If we do this we could lock up both Kemba and Lamb long-term.

Batum isn't a win now piece though. What has he shown that would make a team want to risk taking on his contract? A lot of people have said Batum would thrive more on a team that doesn't ask him to be a primary scoring option, but why pay 27 million for that???

The only way that a Batum for Anderson trade is interesting is if we underwhelm this season and pivot to a hard rebuild, which includes also trading Kemba. I definitely don't want to do this trade just to open up space to sign Kemba.

Hard pass on Batum for Anderson. It only shaves a year off the contract anyway and at least Batum is playable. Kaminsky is a far better stretch 4/5 than Ryno these days and I don't even like Frank's game.

i want to see if JB can elevate batum + how much of his down year was from elbow. RA not worth it to me, esp if we're still trying for postseason.

The hilariousest part of that hoopshype article is that somehow they think that Batum is a defensive minded player. I guess closing out is not part of defense anymore.
Who I woulda took:
2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: Porter Jr | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

I dont get the point of a Nic/Anderson trade.

Frank does anything Anderson can do, or at least close to it. Nic's contract is terrible, but it doesn't make sense to trade him for another terrible contract when we already have a player that does the same things. At least Nic has a skill-set that our other guys dont have.

As the primary Batum antagonist on this board I’d like to make my stance on him clear.

I don’t think Batum is useless. I think he should be used less.

I’m not interested in trading his bad contract for another bad contract just because. If we can trade him for an expiring contract then I’m likely interested even if it means including a protected 1st rounder and a couple 2nd rounders.
