Don't look now, but today that pick is #14.

This feels like that Payne draft pick we were owed by Minny a few years back. Ugh..I been numb ever since.

The Minny pick was lottery protected. We got it the first year at pick #19 - Kevin Huerter.
This Mavs pick is crashing and burning.

Thoughts on Knox for Prince swap?
I'm ok with trading Printz. I'm not ok with trading him to bring in a rookie with alleged motor issues.
I’m in this boat. I’d trade Prince but I wouldn’t love it for Knox. I really want Jaylen Brown but I hate dealing with the Celts.

If the DiSeeeees let a guy get away it's 'cause he's damaged goods. Buyer -er- trader beware.

What are you offering not named Fultz? (The latest news on him and his support system or lack thereof is not encouraging for his mental health). Your 2019 1st is currently #26, so not good enough.
Zhair Smith is intriging but a Jones facture, then requiring surgery from allergic reaction????

I'm kinda over Printz for us, but on a competitive team he'd be great.

I'd be fine with Fultz on the strength that a trade/change of scenery may unlock a decent NBA guy. Fultz is a bag o' red flags though so it should cost PHI to get rid of him.
Toss in a 1st and something like Bolden or Furkan for our trouble. Why not?

I'm definitely willing to give a 1st and some more but if Fultz holds no value to you (understandable for sure), then I'd rather not use him as throw-in.

Honestly, it's looking like the "value" in a Fultz trade is simply the ability to move on from him. Pin the mistake on Colangelo's wife and move forward.
I wonder if CLP has any type of relationship with Fultz anyways. Was only part of a year but CLP seems like the type that could've cultivated some semblance of a rapport. Could be helpful.

It's tough to say what his relationship might be. I think the coaches feel some part burned by him given how supportive they were but also somewhat sorry for him because I think they believe he is a good kid that is getting some awful advice.

The AthleticViable trade targets that could help the Rockets
Kent Bazemore, Atlanta Hawks
The current version of Bazemore is a higher-usage player than anyone else on this list. He’s less of a spot-up threat (only 24 percent of his shots are catch-and-shoot jumpers) and more of an all-around player who creates a healthy portion of Atlanta’s offense and runs a fair number of pick-and-rolls. But, says the East exec, “Before he turned into what he is now, he was more of a defender than anything.”
In fact, Bazemore is currently in the midst of his most impactful defensive season—the Hawks are better by 10 points per 100 defensive possessions when he’s on the court. He can also stretch the floor. While Bazemore is only shooting 30 percent from downtown this season, he nailed 42 percent of his catch-and-shoot threes last season—the shots Harden and Paul routinely create for their teammates.
He also might be more attainable than the other targets because of his hefty contract. Bazemore is due to make another $19 million next season should he (wisely) exercise his contract option; swapping him for Brandon Knight would save the Hawks nearly $4 million next summer. Throw in a second-round pick and the rebuilding Hawks would have a hard time saying no.
Granted, Bazemore is only 6’5”, but he’s strong enough to battle when switching onto bigger players. As the East exec says, “I think he would make them infinitely better than what they’re playing with.”

Here's what scares me about Fultz (besides that Ainge passed on him):
1. Does he really have a shoulder injury or is it all in his head?
2. If it's a legitimate injury - that's an easy enough fix
3. If it's all in his head, that harder to fix - particularly if he hasn't accepted he has that issue. The first step to fixing a problem is admittimg you have one.
4. Most times a change of scenery may help a player, but this seems different - are the Hawks equipped to handle the extra that will come with him?
