Forget Homer, call me Carnak !!

skywalker33 wrote:Call me a Homer, but 4-1 isn't a stretch and 5-0 can be done the way we're playing (even w/o Barton). TOR has played well, but we have beaten GSW, LAC on the road, should've beaten MIL (on the road), not out of the question IMO. POR is struggling right now, a win there could propels us into TOR with some serious confidence.

How bout that win...wow. Jokic with the triple-double too, all the Joker fantasy owners in here should be happy.

Will we be able to keep this roll going if/when we get healthy?

Once again we were lucky to win in last seconds game which we dominate and should win it on the routine way. But who cares anyway, we survive that 0-10 in 4th when our double-digit lead was gone. Jokic loses his magic in the 4th, but was good enough and focused in very last minute to save the win. 23-11-15 is great TD for Joker, and Murray has also a notable all-around 21-7-8 game, with special credit to the Malik Beasley with great 6-8 shooting night (3-3 for 3pt) which neutralize Gary Harris exit. Except for that scoreless black hole in the 4th quarter where we in just 3 minutes lose our comfortable lead, the reason why we have this drama at the end is free throws also. Toronto 12-12, Denver 15-24 from FT.

6th win in the row, 4th straight win on the road also.

And the best is still to come :D

We've had so many bad calls go against us late in close games, it's nice to finally get one in our favor.

Yet another great win on the road. The season is only 1/4 over, but it feels like we've already got a fat stack of signature wins.

Nope, the Nuggets did not play great in the second half, again. Two games in a row with a great first half and a not-so-great second half. However, I am pleased! Why? Because we won both games and these were the types of games we lost (frequently) last year.

Upcoming games are against 3 teams that we should defeat, even on the road with 3 games in 4 nights. Those are games we also lost last year. If we don't win at least 2 of these 3, it'll be very disappointing. (I expect our guys to win all three.)

So we are still the only team that has yet to trail by 20 points. Lets win next 3 and give Harris some rest in those.
Maybe this is the problem they saw when they signed that G League guy. Now we can go with Morris, Murray and him and Beasley as our backups.

So you don't believe that foul call was a little weird? I mean...7 seconds left in the game and you call THAT!? Although I will admit that it was a foul...but never in my life have I ever seen that minor of a call made at such a critical junction of a game.

I've been watching the NBA for over 50 years and have yet to see a game where fans and players and coaches didn't complain about calls made by refs. There were calls in this game that both teams could complain about. The team that loses usually complains the loudest.

Yes, sometimes we complain around here but that's probably why I mostly stay off from other teams' boards - because their fans tend to be out-of-perspective (as do some Nuggets fans). Not every fan is out-of-perspective, but dealing with them is irritating to say the least.

This was a well played game and Toronto clearly played extremely physical. That's the approach many teams take against the Nuggets. If the winning shot was made by Toronto, the complaints would have been different. Why not take pride in having played an excellent game that will be insignificant in just a couple of weeks. There are indeed 82 games in a season.

And what if ref didn't call it, Ibaka was holding Jokic, and then ref calls inbound violation because Jokic WAS NOT ABLE TO MOVE and he was going to get the ball...Would that be bigger problem than this one? Or you would be ok with that, because, hey, you have 3 more players, you can pass to them, and we will hold your best player to not recieve the ball.

 Must have lived a short life to have never "seen that minor of a call made at such a critical junction of a game".

 If the refs don't make a call at the end of the game, one team will say "they swallowed their whistles". If they do make a call at the end of the game, the other team will say, "minor foul".

My father complained about that and he watched games from before the NBA was on TV. If he were still alive, he'd be saying, "it hasn't changed."

TOR was getting away with all kinds of fouls that weren't call, you admit it was a foul and still question that it shouldn't be called ??? Why, beccause it was against TOR ??? You sound like a BOS fan now  I saw Murray get popped in the face a couple of times, Jokic was getting mugged and I didn't hear one Raptor fans say a word. So no it didn't seem wierd, a foul is a foul, the refs just did their job !!! It's basketball, not MMA

But they are first in the east and have best record in the league, it shouldn't be called against them... :banghead: :banghead:
