mets have lugo as that flexible fireman, and can also sign miller.

but trust me i know what you mean.

Corbin’s slider is electric. 83-84 MPH tops but has crazy movement on it.

That hurts. I wanted him.

Probably for the best not to give him 6 years though.

Fallback free agent options are Happ and Eovaldi? Like Happ, but he disappointed me vs Boston and I have a hard time believing he'll replicate what he did last season for us for the next 2-3 years. Don't want Eovaldi, plain and simple. Kikuchi's also been posted, but it doesn't seem like Yanks are interested.

I'd trade him for Bob Uecker.

That 6th year was really important, huh. Good on Cash staying firm on 5 years.

Kind of glad it wasn’t the Phillies since their fans think they’re getting all the top free agents this winter.

Arod about to talk on Michael Kay show.

If Corbin really wanted to come here he would have taken the 5 years. Bah humbug!

I'm a believer in Eovaldi. He finally seems healthy and he's a more complete pitcher now. I feel like he actually knows how to pitch now and is not just some guy who throws hard.

Nah. We were not competitive. Corbin would say that if we really wanted him, we would have upped our offer. 100 to 149 is a huge leap.

Wow, surprised by Corbin passing on his childhood team over 1 year.

Based on what's out about Corbin, can't imagine Yanks signing Manny or Bryce. Guess Yanks are watching their books, disappointing to say the least

Corbin has nasty stuff but him passing on us isn't the biggest loss in the world either.

We've had terrible luck with NL pitchers and 6/140 for a pitcher going on 31 with just one really good year, I'd say thanks no thanks.

I do think Hal gives Cash the okay to sign Harper/Machado though.

This makes no sense. I'm guessing the Yankees have a tight budget.

They need starting pitching so passing on their top target over one year doesn't add up. The deal Corbin received from the Nationals is big but what's weird is the Yankees didn't move from 5/100. I think Corbin is a Yankee if they did 5/126.
