Have not seen anything concrete, basically Ingram per rumors was floated in a trade idea for Butler before he went to Philly. (not confirmed) And more rumors about him being floated for Beal. (not confirmed)

But you do have to kind of wonder if the Lakers make a move by the deadline to add more scoring to help out LeGoat.

Speaking of the west, OKC is pretty underrated. Very very nasty defense too.....

Yes,for AD,along with their other young guys. That trade is going to happen, league wants that to happen, and we know who AD hired as his agent.Pelicans look average again and i believe he will demand a trade in January.Lakers and Adam Silver are ready to pounce.

There's a tweet from some random on twitter saying Pels, Lakers, Magic, eyes emoji. Apparently he's some sort of trainer who called Carmelo getting waived by the Rockets or some junk like that.

There is also another tweet saying the Magic are interested in Lonzo Ball.

I doubt it is anything serious, but if the Pels do trade AD before we can even make an offer, then that franchise deserves to fold.

That screams Vucevic to the Lakers, if you ask me, with KCP probably headed to NO and some filler from NO to Orlando with one of the Lakers youngsters.

AD isnt going to go to the Lakers. Their is zero chance they trade him this season— they’ll force him to pass on the supermax and the hold an auction. Tatum+Brown trumps everything they have to offer.

I could imagine something like Lonzo to Orlando, Bamba, Ingram and KCP to New Orleans, Davis to LA.. but is Davis really going to be happy playing with an aging Lebron and a bunch of Rondos? He’d be better off in New Orleans..

It’s an interesting moment because Demps is an idiosyncratic GM, and although Davis’ trade value won’t go down, the number of teams who have assets and can offer a winning environment is limited. LA could say they’re going to move on and deal Ingram for Beal, and then the Pelicans are short one bidder in July..

They can try, but I think the Pels call their bluff and say "Well, we are going to wait for the Celtics anyways". I doubt Ingram is the make-or-break piece in an AD trade.

What's there to wait. Pelicans call up and ask if Tatum is available. If no, then there's nothing more to discuss and I would rather take Ingram + Ball than Brown and some picks.

What’s the Lakers’ path to get Davis if they move Ingram/KCP for Beal?

Why wait?
- Because they can get Ingram and Ball whenever they want.
- Because AD isn't a free agent until the end of next season.
- Because they haven't been able to offer AD the supermax yet
- Because they would probably field offers from all 29 teams before trading AD, rather than trading him to the Lakers in a hush-hush deal

And yes, I have no qualms trading Tatum for a 25 year old stud averaging 28ppg, 13rpg, 5apg 2.5 bpg, 3-time member of the all-defensive team.

I’m feeling such deja vu right now regarding Fultz and his most recent diagnosis.

I believe the next step is for Philly fan to claim he’ll recover 100% and be better than ever. Then itll be time for them to claim he’ll be better than Tatum. Then itll be time for them to claim his jumper is back after one make in a meaningless game. Then they’ll all turn on him and hope they decline his option.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Would definitely take him, FWIW— absolute worst case scenario has him as perfect filler salary in a deal for AD that could allow us to keep Smart.

It's pretty sad but this is on Philly.

We did our due diligence on him and asked for him to come back for a 2nd workout/checkout to confirm what we first thought in the first workout. We knew about the issue then and immediately pivoted to Tatum.

On the AD/KD to Lakers hoopla.

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/24965429/anthony-davis-says-best-player-league

Davis: Honestly, I see myself as the best player in the league, most dominant player in the league. I think it's time for that step. You only get a short window. And, I don't want that window to close, so I think my time is now.

Nichols: So give me the sell. Why should I put you up ahead of guys like LeBron [James], Kevin Durant?

Davis: It's -- don't get me wrong -- those two are great, great players, but I think I bring something unique to the table. My game is different from both of those guys. Both ends on the floor. I was MVP candidate and Defensive Player of the Year candidate, and so that's why I feel like my name should be at the top of that list.

Does this truly sound like someone who wants to play with Lebron or KD when he thinks he can be the best player in the league and is possibly better then both?
