normally the president has very little to do with day-to-day stock prices, and even their policies that could influence the economy takes weeks, if not months to impose effects. not in this case though, imo.

Start the impeachment process!!!

Trump keeps digging his own holes :D

and std is still netting 20-30% return "cash on cash" in the residential real estate market...and 4-5% (minimal) appreciation.

I just dont have the stomach for the stock market. For those that also dont have the stomach for it...i'd say stay with real estate...buy yourself some 4 flats! Plan, prepare, execute. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent piece by Rachel on just how long Republicans have been doing this. I find it hard to believe this was just NC.

Lol ignore the New York Times and Post being controlled by the CIA rubbish. I think both of you are on to something. She was wrong in her assertion, she was better off framing it terms of oversight and the inordinate amount of money spent the military budget.

Not sure if this is a good thing... taking infrastructure spending hostage to address climate change. I don't like that Trump is taking the ongoing budget resolution to build a wall either.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez demand that the U.S. commit to shifting 100% of its energy consumption to renewable energy in ten years just isn't feasible. The science just isn't there yet. She has since backed off to 2035, so that makes a bit more sense.

She doesn't seem to have depth (hopefully, that will come with time) but her heart seems to be in the right place. And she ran a very smart campaign and doesn't seem to get the kudos she deserves.

She advocates the Green New Deal - I personally don't like the idea that the US should have to fund other economies especially given our current deficit mess. But, that probably reflects her opinion that global warming is the #1 US security issue. I feel that it is the budget deficits. And it is clear, although she has a degree in economics - she hasn't thought through how the budget would be balanced, well balanced without destroying the growth engine (IMO).

And she does tend to speak first and then think later. She supports abolishing the ICE. agency (ICE). she later clarified that this does not mean abolishing deportations, so, who would do that work?

So, I would say she kind of knows what she is doing. I think of her more of an activist than a policy wonk. Someone who can bring a problem to the forefront. But like Warren, I worry that she will implement bad legislation that will just make the problems worse. We will see...

Yes.

The Washington Post and New York Times both are silly for pointing out an inaccurate statement from an elected official.

And AOC is beyond reproach...Got it.

The Washington Post and the NYTimes are literally controlled by the CIA (the WaPo has an ex-CIA director on their board). I take whatever they have to say on anything relating to the Pentagon or national defense with a grain of salt.

And thanks for cutting off the rest of my post. It's clear you've chosen to be a useful idiot.

The Post and Times definitely have issues and deserve criticisms, but to say that they're controlled by the CIA... come on, man. The fact that the possibility makes any sense at all to you on any level...

Really, so f'n what if the Post has an ex-CIA director on their board. How do you possibly jump to the conclusion that that means anything? Ya know what... forget it, this is ridiculous.

The only concern I have is someone even worse will be the replacement.

e.g. Sessions -> Whitaker

I think Trump may have somehow lucked into a respectable permanent replacement.

Although we may find out he has a hidden bias/compromise to protect Trump from the investigation. I think the confirmation process is very important, not so much to block him, but to rule out this possibility.

the Trump tweets this morning are just laughably unhinged and deranged. Will never cease to amaze me how people voted for this dip**** and still support him today. I wonder if daoneandonly will still feel good about his abortion crusade after the human race is wiped off the face of the earth because grandpa initiated nuclear winter before the feds get to him.

It affects what they write and frame stories. DUH!

Have you noticed that the NYTimes and the WaPo cheerleads every war and pushes every bull propaganda the State Department puts out? They were the frontrunners are pushing the yellow cake Saddam/WMD conspiracy theory, and yet people accept every piece of "news" they report like it's gospel.

Hell, the NYTimes have been caught red-handed giving stories to the Obama admin before it went to print for **** sake. Both those outlets are military industrial complex news outlets, period. So yea, when they try and bull their way out of the Pentagon being criticized, I take them with a GRAIN OF SALT.

Dude, the NYT peddles a bunch of neocon war hawk bull**** because they're...not...liberal...

Look at how the NYT frames every story. Look at their dumpster fire of an op-ed section. They're plainly and obviously not a liberal paper.

That doesn't mean they're owned by the CIA though lol
