He's in game 120 of his NBA career (128 if you want to count play-offs).

Think he has room for improvement

But we really need a decent back-up for him. Dedmon is indeed an interesting name.

That early 4th run where Val was doing whatever he wanted and we couldn't hit anything is essentially where the game was lost. Embiid hasn't looked himself lately. Let's see how he bounces back.

Embiid may be like Simmons, who struggles against certain defenders, team defense, etc.
The MVP talk was premature, he is not ready yet.

The big guy can still have his way against lesser teams, but the elite, well coached, squads know how to triple team him well away from the rim. I watch with envy the way other bigs receive the ball deep in the paint and a pick and roll mismatch for easy slams. They also know how to draw him out on the defensive end. No doubt, he didn't look sharp last night, but I don't think we scheme around him well enough.

Jo had 15/14/3 and Gasol had 12/4/3. Jo was +13, Gasol was -12. I guess he didn't show up, yeah...

It's not about Gasol, but overall Grizzlies type of defense that manages to hold Jo without easy baskets.
embiid struggled against bigger,he is the big man version of harden,if refs not give him the call,he doesn't know how to play

I can agree that he still needs to work on his post game. That will come with more experience.

He has many problems against bigger guys but as said here it will come with experience. He's working hard and I think he even needs to work harder but in the end he should kill guys like JV and Drummond.

Let's see how he'll play tonight against Drummond. He should be fired up.

He will dominate Drummond, he is in his head and Drummond is a low IQ player, the question is, can he dominate, or at least play good, against Gasol, Baynes, Horford?

Until now he showed that against guys like Gasol, Baynes, Horford and even Valanciunas he sucks. As said, he should become stronger and we all know he's working hard on that. About shot selection - it's all about experience and he should try and fail to become better in shot selection.

All around, he's a great player. I think it's unfair to criticize him like this every time he's having a bad game.

It is fair to criticize him just like it is fair to point out when he is playing good and dominating other players.

It's fair to criticize him if your criticizisms are fair. You were not saying he was having a bad game or playing sloppy. You were calling him a not that talented bust. You can't really expect anyone to talk any of your opinions seriously if you believe that.

I never called him a bust, I said he is less talented than people think yes. I posted Joel Embuust one time joking about a bad play he made, but that's it. Just like some people joke calling him Johlel, it is a joke

Oh so you didn't mean it. Which is my point. No one should take what you say seriously because its nothing more than emotional overreactions. As soon as Jimmy Butler has a bad game, you'll start talking about him being overrated.

Embiid not being as talented as people think is not an overreaction, just an appreciation of watching many games. He is still a heck of a player, it is just some things he lacks such as reacting fast, having better vision or making good decisions in crunch time and the likes.
I realize he had a blunder of a game, and he is better than what he showed even against those elite teams like Celtics and Raptors.
