That trade is so bad for the Lakers that it's hard to imagine it ever happening

Haha! I admit, it was a very rough proposal. There’s a lot of moving pieces so I’m trying to refine it for all sides! I’m getting a better idea of everyone’s value I think.

Let me know what you think about this...

Would Washington give...

Beal + Porter Jr. + Mahinmi + Bryant

for...

Adams + Abrines + Ferguson (or Diallo; WAS’s pick of either) + Labissiere + Shumpert + Randolph + future FRP (top 3 prot.; via OKC) + future SRP (SAC’s best) + future SRP (SAC’s best)

?

What part of "The Wizards don't want or need Adams" don't you get?

Why are you so focused on Adams? What about the cap relief and flexibility Washington is gaining here?

He is the centerpiece of the frickin' package you're offering. Of course I'm going to be focused on that.

And if the Wizards wanted cap relief and some crappy picks for their core players, Beal and Porter would have been traded a long time ago...for a much better package.

Washington isn't FA destination and you saw what Ernie did in 2016 with all that cap space.

It's obvious that (at least) one of Wall/Beal/Porter will be eventually traded. Beal has the most value but moving Wall would be the best for the franchise. Let's pray Lakers are dumb enough to make that trade.

Rumors is BS IMO. Wow and Windhorst said the Lakers refused to give up Ingram in any deal for Kawhi, they're not going to give the farm for Wall.

So are you just saying Washington can’t get better? They are going to have to have to stay close to cap as possible until they figure out who is in their long-term view. The Wall/Beal/Porter ship has sailed and all of them will have to be moved for a prosperous future in Washington. While they figure out who fits into their long-term view, they can at least NOT pay a ton of money.

I don't expect the Lakers to give up the farm for Wall. I'd be happy with expiring contracts and one pick/prospect. Whether that's Ball, Ingram, Hart, or a future pick, I don't really care.

I assume that Ball makes the most sense for LA since LA would be getting back a PG in Wall (and Ball also has a bigger contract).

Where the heck do you get these ideas? Why would all of Wall/Beal/Porter need to be moved? Just because you keep saying it over and over, doesn't make it reality. Beal and Porter are 25 years old and locked into contracts. There is no need to send them anywhere. The decision to trade them will be based solely on the return.

Instead they'll dump Wall in a year or two when his value is at an all time low. Maybe after an injury.

We don't know if they'll turn it down or not. Nothing can happen until December 15th as long as either KCP (or Rondo) is involved.

I really hope they take the deal though. This team needs to be shaken up.

I could see Ted having a major problem trading Wall. Wall symbolizes his plan of rebuilding through the draft. Trading him would be admission that his plan failed.
That being said, I know a guy who got tickets to the Cavs game a few weeks ago from Ted. He asked for free tickets saying he was a huge Cavs fan and he "didn't care that his Cavs are terrible" and Ted responded "we're terrible too, I'll give you tickets to the game."

Praying the Lakers lose every game between now and Dec. 15th. Even an incompetent GM can fleece a desperate Lebron.

That's really funny! We were 4-9 before that game, so Ted was right.

Since beating the truly awful Cavs that night, we've recorded six wins. We've beaten the Knicks, Nets & Hawks. We've vanquished NO in our building w/o Anthony Davis. We've beaten Houston with no bench. & we've won a nice game vs. the Clippers.

That means we are no longer terrible. That guy you know might as well not ask Ted for any more tix!! :)

Btw, how did he contact him?

Think about a Wall/Westbrook backcourt. Probably the best trade idea so far, right?

Rebuilding through the draft? That ship sailed long ago -- no, that ship sank in the harbor!

We've got 5 guys out of the last 10 drafts despite having 26 picks to use -- no, make that 29 picks including future picks that are already traded away.

Better yet, since Grodie wants to move Adams, how about Wall & Smith for Adams, Diallo, Noel, & that virtually worthless, sure to be late, R1 pick in 2019?

That Wall/Westbrook backcourt would get over 20 assists per game. & score more than 50 points a game. It's a can't miss, slam dunk (lots of those too).

What do you say, Grichor?

I think Wall would be best in Phoenix.

I also think with Houston flailing there could be a three-way deal that would join CP3 with Lebron while sending Wall to the Rockets.
