The trade is good to great. But it's also to fix previous messes Horst was involved in and it's only likely to create cap space for future problems later.

It's an A++ trade if we end up with another all nba player on the roster because of this.

B

I never in a million years thought we'd be players this offseason, but we're back, baby! And we just improved our bench immensely.

Eating a burrito in Henson's honor, reminiscing all of the fond Rodzilla memories. Godspeed, gentlemen.

Bud is helping Horst change the stars!

I honestly will miss rodzilla. I went to a Mexican restaurant and had a burrito verde in honor of Henson as well

Scrub and a guy who wasn't going to play until January (and who were owed a combined 22 million next year) for a more than serviceable backup PG and banishing Thon to the Shadow Realm? And all it cost was a pick in the 20's? SIGN ME UP

Once again, paying to get out of your own bad contracts shouldn't be celebrated. Horst was Hammond's protege, it's not like his hands are clean here.

Yes they were are bad contracts. And you'd be happier if we kept them. Gotcha.

I'm psyched man. Haven't crunched it but can we reroute Smith for Dedmon?

The real loser of this trade is fast casual restaurant owners in the greater Milwaukee area.

Every trade we make there's always one or two guys with the "we must have something else up our sleeve" take and 99% of the time we do not. I think they mean to say, "I HOPE we have something else up our sleeve".

We are getting dangerously close to losing our Australian contingent. Or has the misery of this team for all these years locked them in?

Can we put a rest to this “all the mistakes Horst was involved in” s***?

Have you ever had a boss before? How manny times have you been the person reporting up and informed him or her something was a bad idea and they said “f*** it” I’m the boss and done it their way anyways. I know I sure have.

Maybe, just maybe dude knows what he’s doing. So far he has taken a dogs*** Jason Kidd led team and turned them into a damn fun product about to beat the Warriors again tonight proving 7 games in the finals will be nothing for us.

Well you said you didn't want us to include picks to dump salary. There's really only one other way to do it, add a cheap asset like Brogdon. So if you didn't want to keep their salary how would YOU dump those contracts? Adding picks or assets?

Not at all. We can cry about having those contracts but that was done years ago and can't be undone. When you dump salary you either add picks or add a good asset. Unless you think Cleveland would have done the trade without the picks? I don't.

How much of a voice to you believe Horst had while he was working under Hammond? He has clearly learned from his mistakes and the mistakes of his mentors. Be happy as a Bucks fan for once.

I didn't see conceding the 1st initially. Takes a little sheen off it. I would have rather went in a different direction on Jason Smith for Dekker too. I understand the need for a center, but I don't think that's value for Sam. Downgrades it to A- and then B+. But that's still a solid deal to shed the salary. Bucks are making sounder decisions the last year and a half or so.

Now it'll depend on if they can shed Snell too and what for. Then how they can utilize the space. Hopefully it's not just for their own guys, because they could have went into the tax to sign them. GSW goes well into the tax. Might have to do it to compete with their likes.

Because of Giannis' lack of final possession ability, I've been increasingly intrigued by the Middleton+Brogdon for Beal idea, for Brad to be the poor man's Kobe to slashing Shaq. Acquiring Hill portends something on its face because it creates a logjam, but like Mike said that's happened before and it hasn't come to fruition.

Exactly. Ok, signing those guys was a mistake, so we can live with it or get out from under it. And yes you have to pay a price to shed salary. It's the way it works.

Not only did we clear 18m off the books or whatever but we also added much needed depth to our bench. Ill gladly trade away a pick in the mid/high 20s 3yrs from now for an actual NBA caliber rotation player without even mentioning never seeing Henson or Delly in a Bucks uni ever again. This trade is a slam dunk, if you will.

I think it's easy to see Smith taking over Thon's minutes. I'm not upset in the least at moving Sam for him.
