Incredible finish by Luka. If then 11 straight points 8 of those he completely created himself. His step back 3 pointer is crazy good.

All of the people talking crap about Sexton earlier in the year are eating crow right now. Dude's a baller.

Trae Young to the G League might do him some good. Maybe going against easier competition will help him find some confidence in his shot. He cant score from any part of the court right now. From the start of November he is shooting 35/19/80. 6 of the last 8 games he has had as many turnovers as assists in games. He just looks like he is completely out of confidence.

Lonzo ball was universally clowned for his shooting last year and yet he shot .305 from 3 on 5.7 attempts. Trae Young who's compared to Curry is shooting just .243 on 5.7 attempts as well.

Collin Sexton is playing really well. For the year..

-16ppg
-3apg
-3rpg

-46% FG
-44% 3FG
-89% FT

He needs to finish better around the rim, but he is already a much better shooter than anyone thought he would be.

Yet somehow he was Eastern Conference rookie of the month over Sexton.

Also. from before the draft I've never understood why Doncic wasn't the consensus first pick. I still can't believe 2 teams passed on him and a 3rd had the pick to take him and traded it away.

Sexton have been millennium better since starting and even better on top of that when George Hill doesn't start next to him.

Got to say the turnaround he's made has blown me away. Not sure if this shooting is sustainable but he's been a whole lot better than I expected to this point.

Real question is can he develope as a playmaker, and more importantly do the Cavs value developing that part of his game at all in the first place.

So Dallas played Halleluka before the game and Luka had a crazy game. I'm pretty sure that needs to become their anthem and be played before every game.

Not sure about this. You're just going to end up demoralizing the player, who came to the Hawks thinking the franchise didn't make a mistake by trading for him in the draft. He'll always going to hear about this draft day thing for the entire year, maybe his whole career. Placing him to the G League will just ruin his confidence. Besides, it looks like the Hawks aren't gunning for the playoffs this year, plus he did win RotM. I think he'll be okay.

He shouldn't have. He averaged 14/3/8 on 35/19/86 and 44 TS% while playing horrible defense. Clearly whatever they're doing isn't helping his confidence, his numbers and play continues to get worse. He's playing horrible basketball.

DON M********IN KING, He is the ROY. DONCIC's season reminds me of baby melo's season(which was beter lebron's) kid is a efficent scorer that can also pass. I am having trouble rememebering a season as good as his.

Point taken. Still, I don't believe demoting a lottery pick to the G League this early would be the best move. There are arguably better ways to give him some confidence. Limit his minutes, control his shot attempts... heck, even make him come from the bench.

this narrative that teams messed up at drafting... its ridiculous

nothing is given. all are generals after the battle. luka is playing like even most hardcore fans from slovenia havent envisioned.
ayton was the only logical choice for phx. sac right now is better than dallas. lets stop shi***ng on divac. and atlanta had something else in mind. they may have messed up but its not the final verdict.

also, playing hallelula before the game... cringey... especially for other players

True but Ball also shot 30% total from the field and like 20% from 3 for the first couple months of the season, and people always go in hard at slow starts. Plus his dad's absurd and annoying hype set him up for a fall. Not defending people who mocked him but the situations were a little different.

Dallas is 13-11 right now and Sacramento 13-12, just saying. And the question is not whether Sacramento is as good or better than Dallas, the question is whether they'd be better than themselves right now and going forward if they had drafted Doncic instead of Bagley.

i wasnt taking into account last night games.
the point is, sacramento is doing great and bagley is a good player. also, divac already had bogdanovic(yes im saying he is a similar player to luka) and fox.
its still nonsense to be smartass about draft picks after. how many next big thing players actually become stars? its a risky business.
