Did not watch the game, just saw the BXC. Wall just give your salary back to needy. You certainly don't need it or want it he will not see this so it doesn't matter. Looking at the other scores tonight every losing team is getting blown out not a good night to watch NBA ball. WTF?

It sure looked like it. On most possessions, he just gave it to Beal as they were walking up the court and then just stood at the opposite wing behind the 3-point line. It was like he was playing small forward.

So apparently he has a heel injury.

The thing with Wall is that he is so lousy off the ball that he needs the ball in his hands to be successful. An off-the-ball player can play at less than 100% due to injury and still help a team by making shots and hopefully by guarding someone that doesn't see much action on offense. But a primary ball handler isn't going to be successful for 36 minutes a night unless he is pretty healthy. You can't half-ass your way to a good night when the defense is keying on you and you're defending the point of attack.

Charitably, let's assume Wall really wanted to play and to help his team despite the injury. A good coach needs to tell him no. John Wall playing at 50% doesn't help, he hurts the team... a lot. This goes back to the hubris that Wall often displays. He thinks he is so much better than his teammates that even when hobbled by injury, or when not playing hard defense, the team still needs him. They don't. He can only help at 100% effort and intensity.

Brooks failed his team by letting Wall play. Or at the very least, Wall should not have gone back into the game after the 1st quarter once it was obvious that he didn't have it.

And let's go to the other elephant in the room. We were badly outrebounded again and our defensive rating was terrible. Brown should get ALL of Rivers minutes immediately and Sato should average no less than 30 minutes a game. This is such a DUH moment it is ridiculous. It isn't that Rivers doesn't try on defense - he just doesn't have the ability to be a good defender.

Wall has given up...trade him...but this isnt on him. The coach is paid to mange the team...if wall has given up..or has burn spurs...or his kid died...or what ever...sit him. Essentially we all saw john and brooks let the wiz play 4 on 5 all game and he got minutes. in order of having to go...EG, Brooks then wall. because if you dont move EG - we gonna get fleeced in the deal with the other team. If Brooks stays beyond EG we wont know what we have as a team...and if wall has given up...then go...please go. We can lose BETTER without you. Its more entertaining WITHOUT you. If you gonna loaf then its not fun to watch. GO PLEASE GO!
