Sitting at 12-13 with a lot of winnable games coming up. Do you expect the team to take advantage of this opportunity?

Games

12-9 @ New York
12-12 vs. Detroit
12-14 vs. New York
12-15 vs. Los Angeles
12-19 vs. Cleveland
12-21 vs. Detroit
12-23 @ Boston
12-26 @ Brooklyn
12-28 vs. Brooklyn
12-29 @ Washington
12-31 vs. Orlando
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

This is the stretch where we have to figure things out and put together something of a streak. There are five games we have absolutely no business losing, and I'd argue that if this team was fully playing to their potential **glares at Nic, Marvin, and Monk**, we should be able to go 8-3 or better without too much of a problem.

I still think anything worse than the 7-4 I'm predicting would be a significant disappointment. We absolutely should not hover around .500. This is a cupcake schedule and we need this before our schedule actually gets difficult.

12-9 @ New York W
12-12 vs. Detroit L
12-14 vs. New York W
12-15 vs. Los Angeles L
12-19 vs. Cleveland W
12-21 vs. Detroit W
12-23 @ Boston L
12-26 @ Brooklyn W
12-28 vs. Brooklyn W
12-29 @ Washington L
12-31 vs. Orlando W

I'm with fats. This team has yet to prove that they can string together wins. Hope they do though.

My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

5-6, finish 2018 at 17-19. Only way I see that improving is if Monk steps up his game.

I'll say we go 7-4 over the stretch listed in the OP. So that leaves the team at 19-17, sounds about right.

I also still stand by my prediction of 43 wins on the season.

All I know is that we better get it together and start stringing together more wins before Miami and Washington do because we can be on the outside of the playoffs picture looking in in no time.

Before the season, I predicted 44 wins. I am sticking with that.

I expected Parker and Kidd-Gilchrist to be "sub-par." So far, I am wrong on that score.

I’ll go with an optimistic 43-39 getting us a #5 or #6 seed. Kupchak has to make a trade in February if he plans on keeping Kemba and JB has to tweak the lineup to take some minutes away from Batum, Marv, and Willy if he expect to make the playoffs.

I'm so scared Kupchak is going to do something stupid just so we can treadmill as a 7 or 8 seed. MJ doesn't seem like the patient type.

What do you expect our record to be at the end of the year?

Post#18 » by BigSlam » Fri Jan 4, 2019 1:35 am

Said it a month ago:

Our schedule SUCKS post Jan with college games and the all star weekend putting us on the road a lot. We needed to take advantage of the cupcake schedule we had in Nov and Dec and we didn’t.

I think we’ll be lucky to win 35 games.

Highlights in offseason include:
Kemba leaves.
Lamb is traded Gomez goes to another team for more money.
Nic and Marvin and Biz stay being paid exorbantly for nothing.
Frank the tank signs big deal with McAlisters.
