Most exciting is I’m hoping it leads to Persona on Switch. I don’t care about 5 on Switch at this point, but I’m still holding out for Q2 and most definitely for 6.

I'm back to being obsessed with Dead Cells. It's the one game I'm probably the most frustrated with, because I was able to get further early on when I had a smaller number of items available. It's like the more I unlock the further I am away from beating this goddamn game.

I know you can apparently rematch challengers that you lose to but losing one of those matches is disheartening. Especially when you lose because of some stupid stage effect.

I picked up Smash, Mario+Rabbids ($25), NBA Playgrounds 2 ($20), Dead Cells ($10), Diablo 3 ($40) all this weekend for Christmas. Looking forward to Dead Cells as I saw you guys talking about it non-stop for a while. Seems like a **** load of fun.

I also bought Battlefield V today for $30 at Newegg. Was waiting till it hit 30 or less as I've always loved BF but I wasn't in love with this ones beta.

This is way more than I need right now. I'm still trying to work through AC, RDR2 and hitting Gold rank in Overwatch.

Yeah, I hear you. I've been able to unlock 12 characters this weekend, but I probably have at least three more that I've failed to defeat in the challenge because of some sort of unlucky thing like that. Luckily, the challenger rematch pops up fairly regularly.

Who have you guys been playing with? I started with Star Fox and have since used Kirby, Mario, Link, and Sonic interchangeably.

Decidedly different from Fallout - not a baron, post-apocalyptic wasteland - but definitely still has that Fallout feel somehow. It's like Fallout x Mass Effect.

One of my friends from college is a producer on this game. It's near the top of my wishlist for next year since I want to see his work.

Smash is fun as hell, but I suck so bad at it. I'm particularly awful at staminia fights in World of Light. It seems so lopsided when you run into one, like they seem to start with way more health and juiced physical attacks, so you do less damage and take more. Need to be nearly perfect to beat those stages. That's my only complaint thus far, ordered the DLC pass this morning to get the new characters next year.

Other than that, I upgraded to an iPhone XR this weekend from a 7. Maybe my eyes just suck, but I couldn't tell a massive difference between the XS/XS Max OLED and the plain retina LCD on the XR, so I went that route because the internals are the same (minus the camera) for a much friendly price tag. Really liking having more real estate and some snappier specs.

The character models give me a weird vibe. It looks great besides that to me.

I've been getting my ass kicked online in Smash, I'm probably 1-5. I've been trying out all different characters so that doesn't help but yea I'm struggling.

I've been playing classic mode almost exclusively so I can unlock characters quickly. I have about 30 unlocked so far. I've played a bit of the adventure mode too. I don't really understand what the spirits do other than some extra match conditions. And the points earned from classic mode? Are they just for extra spirit snacks or whatever? The bonus stage and credits are getting a little old, so it would be great if I didn't need to worry about that.

You can hold down the plus sign to skip the credit sequence if you want.

Anyone play Path of Exile? New season just started on Friday, having a lot of fun with it.

It's mind-blowing how much better this game is than Diablo 3.

Yes. And yes, it is. But I think it's also very different. D3 is simplistic and sometimes that is nice as it's more accessible. For example, whenever a new PoE league starts up and I jump back in, I have to re-learn all the complicated systems, try to plan a build which can take literally 5-10 hours, etc. It's so much more complex, but I also don't say that in a bad way. I agree it's better, but also just different.

Yeah I do sometimes, but sometimes I shoot all the names and whatnot because you can get like 1.5 million points. I just don't know exactly what the points are for.

Looks like I'll see about downloading that on the Xbox over lunch.

I would actually encourage you to do some research before diving in, and also to follow a build guide your first time through. You'll otherwise be so overwhelmed you may give up.

Here's a great YT video series for an intro:

Have played in several Diablo seasons. Played PoE for about 30 minutes before getting overwhelmed by the talent tree. Even looking something up, I was totally drowning amongst the multitude of systems in the game. If I'm dungeon crawling, I don't need all those variables to have fun. Doesn't change the PoE is great for most people, but I'm also someone who plays games on Easy so that I can see the story without worrying about getting crushed.

When I looked up PoE to see if it was free to play I came upon this page.

Anyone here play Warframe, Darwin Project, Paladins, or Planetside 2?
