GT #27: Wizards @ Pacers 7 PM (NBCSW/1500 AM)

Post#1 » by FAH1223 » Sun Dec 9, 2018 3:30 am

YOUR Washington Bullets are now 11-15. 4-10 on the road. They are coming off a terrible loss to the Cavs who are now 6-20.

Monday night, they are in Indianapolis to take on the 16-10 Pacers. Oladipo has been out with a knee injury and probably won't suit up. No problem for the Pacers though as they have a legion of big men who will bully ball the Wizards front court and out rebound them by double digits.

Indiana will also have open 3s and Bogdanovic will probably have a big game from deep.

The only question with this match up is... how many points do the Pacers win by? And how bad does the Pacers PG... whether it is Collison, Joseph or even Aaron Holiday dominate the Wiz backcourt?

If Wall doesn't play, the Wizards have a chance.

Mahinmi gave some good minutes last night against Cleveland. It'll be interesting to see if Brooks goes to him a bit earlier if we're getting dominated in the paint.

I would add, if they sit Rivers for Brown...

Seems “Magical Markieff’s” spell has been broken and he’s back to being the half try, short armed PF we’ve come to know and loathe.

About the only lineups I trust these days include Sato, Beal, Brown and Porter... and exclude almost everyone else.

I guess my Sunday is ruin since the wizards going to play. Wall will come out gunning trying to redeem his horrible performance. Expect 25 shots to be taken from Wall.

They play tomorrow. This game thread was created a little early.

Best to move on from a loss as soon as possible. Pretend it never happened. Change the subject. What?

Oladipo is still out? That's a L for the Wizards.

John sitting this one out. Anyone know how long he has been dealing with the heel injury?

Don’t think we match up well with a team that plays consistently hard, but we have a better chance without John in there at his recent level of play.

Never thought I'd be happy about hearing the news that Wall is out.

I still think he's salvageable, just not with this coach.

The things he doesn't do are the easiest things to do -- move without the ball, move his feet on defense, pass the ball earlier in the shot clock.

I smell 40 plus for Beal. If you play fantasy basketball, play Beal.

Lol at the poll question. Ouch, that's some impressive negativity.

Btw, the people who liked Domantas Sabonis in the draft 3 drafts ago were... absolutely right - though he has some defensive issues. I remember some folks being very down on him at Gonzaga. His fundamentals are reminscent of Tim Duncan's. Dude plays only 25 minutes a game, but he's playing at an all-star level, and I think he can get even better.

Why are the Wizards taking an abnormal amount of long twos?
