Best offense this season?

Post#1 » by RoyceDa59 » Fri Apr 6, 2007 11:50 pm

Which team will have the highest scoring offense this season?

My guess, The Toronto Blue Jays...

1. Reed Johnson
2. Lyle Overbay
3. Vernon Wells
4. Frank Thomas
5. Troy Glaus
6. Alex Rios
7. Gregg Zaun
8. Aaron Hill
9. Royce Clayton

Who do you think will have the highest scoring offense this season?

I'll go with that too. Just add the Mets and take out the Rangers.

The Mets? Toronto? What? Toronto is middle of the pack in the AL. The Mets are middle of the pack in the NL.

The Yankees is the correct answer. Also acceptable: Red Sox.

As a Jays fan, I disagree. Our offense doesn't compare to a team like the Yankees, Mets or Indians. There's a clear cut tier level there that we just don't fit into.

Indians are hot but I don't think they're THAT better than the Jays

Better future for sure though...

I'm curious about what NL teams you consider better on offense than the Mets.

2006 Runs Scored.
1. Yankees 930
2. Indians 870
3. White Sux 868
4. Phillies 865
5. Braves 849
6. Rangers 835
7. Mets 834
8. Tigers 822
9. Dodgers 820
9. Red Sox 820

I think its safe to say the Yankees, and Indians are the two teams that lock this category down.

Oh and the Jays racked up 809 runs on that list and that was good enough for 12th place.
