Yes or no?

Has there, in previous games, been more than 5 players (or coaches) from a single team on the court while the play was live?

Yes or no?

You are trying to make it situational. It's not.

That's like saying the rules suggest a ref should call charging fouls at the start of games - but not during the final 1 min of a game.

Making the rule situational.

It's either a rule and it is enforced, or it is not.

Biz was literally in the middle of the court. you can't not call that

I'm not saying it shouldn't be called a technical foul.

What I am saying is that it needs to be called consistently - rather than more often than not the ref directing players back, NOT calling a technical foul, and carrying on.

When they want to call a time out and their team has possession of the ball, their player progresses the ball over half court and indicates to the ref they want a time out from the floor.

Before the player has called the time out, 9 times out of 10 the coach (if they are at the opposite end of where the time out is being called) has already stated walking out on the court - again: BEFORE THE TIME OUT HAS BEEN CALLED SO TECHNICALLY THE PLAY IS STILL LIVE.

That should be a technical foul.

Every. Single. Time.

I was watching some of the Clippers v Suns game a couple of days ago and Doc Rivers was standing under the basket right next to where the ball was trying to call a timeout. It was called a jump ball and he still stood there for a moment, no tech.
