His body language is maddening, but he at least was consistently vocal with teammates on where they should be on both offense and defense. His skill set is impressive, with terrific foot agility and rare ball handeling ability for a 6'10" player. He's an intriguing weirdo.

I'm not really happy we picked up his option, but now that we have I'd like to see him get a couple of garbage time minutes against a real NBA team.

Also of note: 2-wayer Trevon Duval with another dud, going 2-for-15. Now 15-for-64 (23%) in his last four games, including 1-for-22 (4%) on 3s in his last four games. Yikes.

Wilson using the Herd to display that he's a demonstrably better player has en one of the few positives for the G-league's worst team. Some combination of a pretty untalented group that Brady and Brian Butch haven't been able to get anything out of. Vander Blue looks like a shell of his former G-league MVP self. I used to watch him be completely unguardable for Los Angeles. Duval has some talent but he's flawed enough where I'd let him develop on someone else's dime at this point. The ball isn't going to stick in his hands like it does now if he ever gets to the NBA. Very poor man's Rondo at times. Christian Wood had one dominant game where the Delaware color guy remarked that the Bucks intimated they were not pleased with how completely out of the offense he was in his first couple stints.

I'd assume Bud cleans house this summer and finds his own guys to staff the Herd for 19-20.

The Bucks twitter account will tweet out video of guys warming up before games. There was a video early in the season of Wood working with some assistant coaches on an offensive drill with some screening and movement and he had trouble understanding where he should go. That gave me a bit of an idea why he can’t play meaningful minutes.

Wilson has now shot 1 FT in 3 games in Oshkosh (21 FGA). G League totals now for him: 177 FGA, 12 FTA.

The Herd are an absurdly rough watch. They play long stretches like they’re tanking. Not an impressive crew.

Looks like the Herd actually won a few days ago in 3OT. Wood had 34/18/2/2/2

Herd got destroyed today but at least Wood put up a 34/12/2/2 line.

Shoot, I was hoping Wood was with the Bucks tonight.

I've seen a lot of comments wondering why Thon is getting PT ahead of Wood, and I'm confused, too... :dontknow:

What are the chances Thon could put up 34/12 in a G League game? Less than 5%?

I don’t know what happened to Vander Blue but basketball ability seens to have evaporated from his body. Kinda feel for him, at one point looked like a guy who’d be able to sneak on the back end of a roster for awhile. Donezo.

Christian Wood is very talented but he just doesn’t contribute to winning basketball. Of everyone on the Herd roster the only guy I can see playing for a playoff team is Trice.

Wood heads need to tune into Herd games, painful a watch as they are. If he could help us win Bud would be playing him. Seeing as he can’t help the Herd win I’m not gonna question the Kaiser on this one.

Who needs ball movement when you can have a ball stopper like Christian Wood. 8-)

He would’ve been fine 10 years ago when the league was still so inefficient iso heavy.

Yeah, he plays like a Charlie Villanueva/Wizards Javale Mcgee hybrid.

I don't think anybody is a Wood Cock (hopefully somebody gets that reference). We just want to see him tried over Thon because he is so horrible. Nobody is expecting Wood to be anything other than a decent backup at best and if he is, that's a nice improvement. If he's not, well, you just had a different bad backup center playing for a few games.
