I feel for Oubre, who was practically in tears but Jason Smith, Austin Rivers and Kelly Oubre doesn't move the needle for us. But it does in that locker room. Right or wrong, that's a f-ing shake up and it should be saying to the top dogs that you are next if this thing doesn't improve.

Do I read right that we get the Grizzlies 2020 R2 pick & a conditional (i.e. protected?) 2019 R2 pick from someone?

That has to be a first for Ernie -- a trade that actually *acquires* R2 picks!!

Balls. Says you don't have to worry; I'll trade the other guys.

I was just imagining on how much better this team would have been if the Wizards had just kept Ariza instead of trying to go after Durant.

NBATV is reporting that the Wiz get Ariza, 2019&2020 second round picks (which I'm sure we'll get rid or pick a 17 year old Euro).

Very happy for Kelly, at least he has a chance to play for a decent franchise.

Another trade that illustrates the mess of a front office we have. Could not develop Kelly, let Ariza go then trade our former 1st round pick (who EG traded up to get) to get Ariza back. All the while Ian is getting paid. EG will treat those 2nd rounders like a hot potato, probably trade one for Shelvin Mack.

From a leadership perspective, no question. Also, Otto probably would’ve never blossomed, wittman never gets fired. Grunfeld probably doesn’t pick Oubre. Who knows

Have fun grizz fans. He doesn’t pass at all, he can’t play defense at all, he can’t shoot for ****. I’m not sure what he does well. He’s basically Xavier Henry pt2.

Lakers really wanted ariza...i wonder if ariza is just a player we will throw in with Wall to get that trade done. They have to be desperate to trade Wall!

Oubre is one of the most shoot first/tunnel vision players I have seen. But I do wish him well and sure he'll improve.

Maybe Troy Brown will get to play now. For the first time ever, we don’t have a total non NBA a sliver scrub guard to steal minutes from Sato

For those of you who know the NBA rules better than I do, if we trade for Ariza, can we trade him again? or are we tied in for a certain amount of time like signed free agents?
I ask because the Lakers had also been interested in Ariza. I'm wondering if this isn't a trade to facilitate another move; like Wall and Ariza to the Lakers for some combination of their younger players.

I don't really want to trade Wall. I love him and Beal. But it's clear that this current team is broken.
not sure how Ariza would fix that.
although if he's on a one-year, it clears up space to potentially add more in the offseason
