Yeah, that fourth quarter and OT was managed incredibly poorly by Borrego. I seriously had Clifford flash backs.

Playing Tony Parker that long against a zone was egregious. Parker makes sense in the 4th if the team is under a lot of pressure and desperately needs someone to handle the ball and initiate the offense, but he is completely useless against a a zone defense and hes a massive defensive liability.

Literally all you need to do is put in shooters with a little Cody/MKG here and there and there is no way that zone works. Unbelievable.

I watched the end of the game and felt ill when I woke up, too. On the other hand, the first half was the best the Hornets have played this season, including the young guys, so they are making progress. Too bad it's a back-to-back. You know that LA will throw out a zone, besides having King James to lord it over the Hornets. There is no time to practice for it, even if you know the zone is coming.

I still cant believe this game.

Our other bad collapses this year seemed to be situations where a bunch of things randomly went wrong at once.

This game felt like our collapses under Clifford where all that was need was a simple and extremely obvious adjustment by the coach.

They just threw out a stupid zone that never should work against this team and Borrego went Clifford mode and did nothing but freeze up and look confused on the sideline.

Kemba had Nic in the corner. He shouldve let him take it coz he was making shots in OT

Kemba trying to play hero ball like always and fails everytime.

My biggest issue with Kemba hero ball is that he has so little balance with it. It's not like he scores twice and then makes a killer assist or something. No. Once Kemba is in hero mode he is taking a shot 99.999% of the time and other teams know it. It would work if he could mix it up more IMHO.

Is the problem his teammates, coaching, him? IDK. I don't really care at this point either. I'm just tired of stupid losses.

Totally agree.

The team looked and played like world beaters in the 1st half. Really enjoyable, ball moving, team oriented, smart cutting, fun basketball.

Then as soon as they rolled out the zone in the second half JB totally sh*t himself and froze.

Good coaching is about what you do when things are going wrong. Not whilst you do when things are going right.

The going right is the easy part.
