Re: Around the NBA IV
I've now found the worst colour commentator in the league. The Raptors guy, I think his name is Jack Armstrong, is the most biased and ridiculously one sided colour guy in the league. Makes your ears bleed listening, gross.

A guy on the general board called Ontario literally said Calderon is as good as Curry at everything but shooting. Jose Calderon is Curry without a jumpshot everybody.

Re: Around the NBA IV
Ariza to the Wiz is really interesting. Not sure why the Wiz think they are going to make a run.
Oubre can really score and Rivers is needed at PG, so for the Sun's it's a nice move.
With Booker, TJ Warren, and now Oubre, they have 3 dudes who can score in bunches.

I like the move for the Suns as it adds another young trade asset to the team. Ariza's value was limited to specific win now teams (Wizards mad lolz) however Oubre is still really young and will be a nice asset to add into a deal to chase a star player.
If they land Zion Williamson they'll have a heck of a young core to play with, or for Sarver to screw up I should say. In desperate need for a PG after that.
PG - FA / Austin Rivers / DeAnthony Melton
SG - Devin Booker / Kelly Oubre
SF - TJ Warren / Josh Jackson
PF - Zion Williamson / Mikal Bridges / Dragan Bender
C - Deandre Ayton / Richaun Holmes

Re: Around the NBA IV
Oubre is expiring if anything with PHX having Jackson, Bridges, Warren and Booker already locked up Kelly is in serious danger of not even getting his QO extended if PHX wants to maximize caproom.
I see his PHX run playing out similar to what Elfrid did last year, just a filler for the rest of the year without any intention to bring him back.

Re: Around the NBA IV
Josh Jackson has good percieved trade value even though he has struggled this year. So they might want to use him in a deal to add at another position.
Coxy, Bridges is skinny and no way is he a 4. He's a 3 who could play some 2. They have a minor glut at the 3, so it will be interesting to see which way they go.
It doesn't seem like trading Ariza for Rivers and Oubre would be just to have Rivers next year?
Oubre is a good young scorer. Jackson might be the guy who gets the Sun's a nice piece either in player or pick.

Getting Oubre, and already having Bridges, all of a sudden makes Jackson expendable and may have been the thinking behind the Ariza deal. There may be a player that Phoenix have identified for the long term PG job that they may chase now using Jackson as the bait.

Maybe they'll take a shot at Fultz?

Yeah he's the obvious candidate that sticks out, but he could be a terrible fit next to Booker. You never know though, may just work, but I don't know why Philly would want Josh Jackson.

Re: Around the NBA IV
Oubre only shoots about 32% from 3. Seemed like he hits a higher percentage but that's not the case.
Jackson is another bricklayer.
Problem with Phoenix is either bad scouting or bad development. Or both.
They didn't get anything from Chriss, likely going to cut Bender loose and Jackson doesn't seem like a keeper either.
All those high picks ...

Doncic is great, Ayton looks nice, Trae Young may boom in a few years, but the rookie that I'm most impressed with is Kevin Knox. That kid has some Giannis about him.

In other news.....Jimmy Butler seems to be a total dick. I'm so glad he never found his way here.
