I'm shocked no one has said Wall yet.

V: Wiggins. Batum can still ball.

N: Chris Paul. Will be 34 in May and will be making $44M (player option) the season he turns 38. Wow.

Vote: Parsons
Nominate: Wall

I think the real debate is between the 2-year deals for guys who aren't rotation players (or fringe rotation players) and the bigger, longer deals for guys who can play but are likely to be overpaid more (and a good chance at being overpaid much more) over their deals (Wiggins, Wall, Paul), with Batum and Dieng in the middle. I went with Parsons since he's the biggest of the 2-year deals and I figure there's a few GM's who would take the overpaid guys who can play cheaper then the ugly 2-year dead-weight deals.

Do we really think Batum is that much worse than Wiggins? I’d rather have Batum over Wiggins.

I think plenty of teams would bet on Wiggins over the sure negative contract that Batum is.

Vote Batum
Nominate Paul

No upside to Batum's deal plus runs for 3 years, longer and more expensive of the no upside guys.

I think this thread has missed the mark.

The worst contracts aren’t even on the list.

Noah
Deng

And I am sure to be missing someone else bought out. (Asik?)

These contracts before buyout ran same length as Parsons, Knight, etc. Now respective teams not only get 100% ZERO production out of those players/contracts they affect the cap for more years than original (granted at smaller per year hits) plus team has to fill a roster spot on top of the dead cap.

Top 2 worst contracts should be Noah and Deng. Followed by the vote of any other buyout player being worst contract over some on OP list.

Noah and Deng May have been at the top of the worst contract list in 2018, but their current contracts now are not.

But see if Minny could trade Wiggins right now for Batum I think they do it so it makes you wonder who really is the worst contract...

I think is Batum's contract was only 2 years I could agree that Wiggins contract would be worse. But Wiggins is younger and could improve his play to maybe earn that money. Batum is 30 he's not gonna suddenly get better.

Noah and Deng have been bought out and Stretched. While I hate dead money and the stretch provision in general they are not in question now, both are on diff teams and the dead money can't be moved.

And even if they were under those contracts still, there is always the case that 35m for a 10m player is worse than 15m for a 1m player. Not picking any players just the premise.
