The mention of Monte Morris makes me want to suggest you all go back to the 2017 draft thread, where you will find me calling for us *NOT* to trade our late R2 pick but instead to pick Monte Morris, who looked to me like he'd be an awfully good NBA player...

...& he has!

(As it turned out he went #51 -- we had #52 -- but, moving up a couple of spots that far down in R2 is no big problem)

Monte Morris could have been drafted in round 2 when he came out of iowa State. I posted about him.

You did, yes... after I brought him up! :)

& he was picked in R2.

Core point: there is nobody home in the Wizards FO when it comes to player evaluation. They are only interested in what they view (closed-mindedly) as the so-called elite prospects.

Where would we be if in 2015, instead of trading UP for Oubre (& losing 2 R2 picks in the process) we had traded DOWN (say our 19 & 49 to the Nets for their 29 & 39) & taken Looney, as you & I both wanted, & then taken Pat Connaughton or Josh Richardson w/ the #39.
