This FO will be interesting because Mills wasn’t in charge when KP & Frank were taken. He was present in the meetings & im sure he liked them but he wasn’t the person in control of taking either of them.
Very interesting to see what happens the next two years.
I prefer rolling with KP and another stud, ie Barret, Ja Morant, or (whoever else emerges as a top 5 guy) over just Zion. IMO a healthy Kp is too valuable right now and way too potentially good to use as a trade chip...even for someone like Zion.
No way of knowing whether KP will be durable or not, but one scenario is he really needed to grow up to the age of 22-24 to gain the man strength necessary to carry his huge 7'3" frame. If that is true, KP will be a beastly player who has the potential to be a top 10 player. If not, he'll be another big man like Yao Ming whose size was both a blessing and a curse.
With that in mind, the injury may have given the Knicks a silver lining that produces a strengthened, more physically mature KP who can come back and bang and hang with the rest of the NBA.
Fingers crossed, basically.

Wow.
