You mean their training staff doesn't look after their player's best interests.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I'm not sure Ernie Grunfeld would have given give that contract to CP3.

What choice did he have though? It was either roll with cp3 hoping he had at least two great years left or else you're letting him/ariza/capela all walk, punting a year of harden's prime after being a quarter away from beating Golden State, and hoping harden and PJ Tucker is enough to draw Durant next year.

I agree they shouldnt let him walk but who else was going to offer him a max?

signing chris paul to a max contract was part of the agreement during the original trade, when he waived his ETO to make it happen.

Right but they were hesitant to follow through and there were rumors they were going to blame new ownership to avoid offering him the max. It would have been dirty but they could have gotten out of it.

All that being said, it’s not like these issues couldnt have been predicted. Unless he pulled a Buddy Hield and lied about his age they knew he was getting old and he’s always been injury prone. Houston went all in and almost made it work. Now their window appears to have closed prematurely. It sucks but I wouldn’t describe it as unlucky.

morey's reign has had a lot of bad luck. the ownership change was really the nail in the coffin. they maybe had this year to do something and then it was probably kaput.

James Harden's heart is going to go the way of John Henry vs. the steam engine if D'Antoni keeps up this absurd usage.

How the hell do you play a player the entire second half of a game on a b2b and expect anything positive to happen. Yeah, the depth is bad. James Harden is also a human being that has also never been known to be in peak physical form for long periods of time. He won't survive the length of time Paul is out without them monitoring his minutes. Either that or he will be complete toast in the postseason. (IF they even make it that far)

Paskal Siakam is the perfect stretch four.

Klay is shooting <34% from three this year. That's like just as big of a drop off as Russ.

I like the Brandon Knight + Austin Rivers backcourt. That will help the franchise to save some money on those bonuses its players have in their contracts.

We completely destroyed the pistons season. 2-9 over their last 11 games and we started the downward spiral.

Same thing happened to them last season. We lost to them in a bad fashion and they went 2-7 over their next 9.

They're frauds.

I like how Vonleh has defended Giannis to start this game vs Milwaukee. He looks like a competent young player.
