I mean, Santana can play all 3 outfield positions too but like Gamel, you don't want him anywhere but the corners where Gamel is admittedly better than Santana.

Seems to me like we burned an asset there in Santana that could have been used as part of a package for a legitimate upgrade. Too bad.

The trade market for Domingo last season must have sucked hard.

Hard to say you targeted a guy in the draft that went in the 18th round as a senior sign.

I just want everyone to know that Gordon Hayward makes $380,662 every game before tax to look like that on the floor. Woof.

So, they spell their first son 'Mat'.

Why wouldn't they spell their second son 'Benn'?

I don't understand.

Stearns is great, but this feels like we sold low/late on Domingo.

Hard to say because we can be pretty sure they were shopping the hell out of him when he may have had value, then he played like **** until the end of the season. Had he played well, might have been worth more, but sometimes guys **** up their own value by being bad.

Oh yeah they definitely shopped him last winter even before they landed yelich and Cain. Obviously the offers weren't to their liking but id be curious to see if they were better than what they ended up taking.

But you're right that Domingo just not hitting early last year screwed it all up hell if he had hit he would have had plenty of actual value for them because they needed it early when Braun and thames were hurt and/or sucking. In a way agular stepped up in his place.

I've always liked Domingo and it wouldn't surprise me if he bounced back this year.

Supposedly we're still in on Kluber. Can't imagine we could get him without giving up Hiura. I'm sure history and percentages are against me, but I'm so invested in Keaton that I just can't do it.

The problem with Kluber is Cleveland is probably going to want the return of an ace that's controlled (relatively) cheaply for 3 years. The problem other teams are having is those 3 years are going to be his age 33-35 seasons and he lost 9% on his soft contact percentage from 2017 to 2018 and nearly all of that went to hard contact.

I just read that article. And it's probably because CLE started negotiations by asking for Hiura, Ray, and Peralta. I guess I dont know where these guys rank in MLB. But I go back to Ray and Peralta (and other lower prospects). The reason they may not go with the Brewers trade is because they want a CF now...Keon is what we got...

I saw some posts elsewhere about that. I wouldn't be opposed and it would seem like a very odd deal. The normal fan would be uncontrollably upset.

However, it might make sense and I wouldn't mind it. What else would we have to include with Cain?
