Don't be fooled by Wells' numbers? Okay what about a 5.27 ERA shouldn't I be fooled about? He's a bad pitcher, stop making excuses for this **** team.

SCrubs get down 4 and fight back. We get down 5 and roll over. Scrubs will probably still lose but our team is pathetic.

At least I get to hear interviews of people I've never seen play and a team I can't relate to since I wasn't born then.

You can't just dimiss history because you weren't around to see it first hand. Sure the 82 team lost game 7 but there were 4 Hall of Famers on that team and they sure as hell didn't give up like this team does.

But seriously they're really going overboard with this whole thing. Retro days and they did the same thing last year. It loses all meaning if you're going to do this crap every year.

They've been pathetic for 25 years, they have to do something. It would be great if we had a lot of good teams/players to celebrate but we don't.

Oh good Reds, walk Jason Kendall, he is a real threat to tie the game on a homer.

Yeah I get the 25 years thing but they did all this crap last year. If they do it again next year it's going to lose a ton of meaning.

Cubs lose, thank God.

Now we have to worry about the Cardinals too. :nonono:

Why aren't they warming up their long relief man here?? He may need to go 2 or 3 innings because it isn't crunch time yet. They may also need their shutdown relievers like 2 weeks from now so they need to be rested.

According to gameday Fontenot almost hit one out which would've won the game.

Nice swings Corey. :nonono:

I agree, they tend to go overboard. It was a unique team. The only player in major league history to win MVP and Cy Young the same year. The only player to win one MVP playing the infield and another playing the outfield. Molitor, in my opinion, would have been a lock to be the all-time hits leader had he been able to stay healthy. Hell I think he still could have been, he was still hitting when he retired.

But they have to let it go next year.

Next year we'll have the third largest plasma screen in the world and a new manager to look forward to. :)

Was it close? Because it was right up against the wall on gameday. And how close was Murton's to going out?
