Nick Young - How much swagger? (Or how long?)

Post#1 » by NuggetsWY » Tue Dec 11, 2018 12:21 pm

How long will Young be here? Remember that he's here on an injury exception which as I understand is based on 3 players being out for 3 consecutive games - or more. So as the announcers said during last night's game, we'll still qualify for another player. In fact, we already qualified based on Thomas, Porter, Vanderbilt, but there wasn't significant need.

When players start coming back, the Nuggets have to cut someone. Who do they cut first?

If I read things right, Young's contract is non-guaranteed $1.65M.

As SG, he will be in Denver at least until Harris is injured, but once Barton is back, I don't see Young playing more than 10mpg (with Barton IN, Beasley and Craig will play more SG and less SF).

I'll say 3 more games, I'm hoping Barton or IT2 will be back by the DAL game

I do not know why so many people seem to love Nick young, he has never been all that good and is an idiot.

Well he’s played mainly for big market teams and helped bolster the bench last year for GS. But it seems the only people that love him and don’t want to see him gone are the ones that didn’t even know he was on Denver. Reading BR and ESPN comments almost everyone either questioned the waive or just didn’t even know he was on our team. Can’t wait to see him on another team that can use his shooting to space the floor, first team that comes to mind is Memphis.

Good to see him out, not because he did anything wrong or whatever, but because this means Gary Harris or Will Barton (or both) will be back this week!

I'm sure Nick Young can find some NBA team which needs him, but some less deep than Denver Nuggets are now, for sure.
