It actually seems like Freddy jumps toward the floor when he goes for a layup. :banghead:
He does it once a game where he is like two feet of the ground when he releases the ball. Anti-athleticism.

Seriously of all things to complain about right now, Lowry stans are definitely last on the list... Just goes to show the fanbase's continued flawed perception of this team.

Unless this team gets some chemistry I honestly think we'd be better off trading him at the deadline for Harris and Shai. We may not be any better come playoff time, but we'd have better assets going forward and wouldn't lose him for nothing after we flame out in the playoffs against Boston/Milwaukee.

What I did come to here to say is Ibaka is an issue. He can't be trusted or relied to be our 3rd scorer. Not even our 4th scorer.

Ibaka is best suited to be a team's 4th best player if said team has two mega stars and a solid 3rd option. We barely have a 2nd and don't have a third at the moment.

Ibaka is an issue.

The problem is when Lowry goes down, theres nobody left that can take control and help facilitate the offense. This was something Derozan brought to the table that was under-appreciated. When Lowry went down in 2016-2017, the Raps were still something like 15-5. I still think this version of the Raps is still 1 prime time ball distributer/shot maker away from being a championship threat.

Remember when demar came back from the Olympic summer and started the season with unsustainable long 2 percentages.

And posters were calling him demvp and dejordan.

And then his percentages came back to earth and the same bad decisions reminded you why he will always limit your winning?

Same thing with Ibaka long 2 shot this year.
He still makes a mistake for ever good thing and sometimes it's comical what he does

Ibaka is going through a scoring slump like the entire team, and he's coming off injury.

It happens, I'll see you when he catches fire again.

We need Beal so that Lowry can slot in comfortably as our 3rd option. Beal isn't afraid of taking big shots and doesn't hide behind preemptive injury excuses to excuse his play.

Lowry could simply facilitate and spread the floor as our 3rd option.

He has low awareness and is an absolute mess on defense. He is making poor decisions in pick and roll coverage and getting absolutely abused in the post by every team that has a big.

It's not that he's outsized either. It's bad positioning, bad timing, a lack of fight. Ibaka is playing like a liability out there and is being exposed by opposing teams. Go at Ibaka, he gives up easy inside positioning and jumps very easily.

Ibaka is not on a scoring slump, he's camping in the 3point line and being asked to drive the ball too much? No one pass to him for midrange shots. FVV hogging the ball up and bricking everything until he can get a shot in to get himself going, that's after going 0-8 FG when we are losing :nonono:

She's right. Lowry is one of the best players in the NBA.

Our backup PGs also suck ass, so not having Lowry is extra painful.

This is actually accurate. Lowry is a top 20 player in the league and was/has been the main reason for this franchise's success over the past half decade.

Just look at the schedule we had during that time Lowry went down in 2017, it was super easy

I wouldn’t go that far. But obviously there’s a big difference with and without him.

Y’all think I’m a hater but I’m not. I really, really want to believe Kawhi will lead us to the promised land, but I’ve seen next to nothing thus far to make me believe we’re better with him than DeRozan. We lost by 35 to Orlando and barely squeaked our a win against a bottom 3 team in the league. If these were just aberrations I wouldn’t care, but the team hasn’t looked notably better with him in the lineup. We objectively look like a stronger team without him. If his name wasn’t Kawhi Leonard you’ll all be thinking about trading him for a better fit.
