Beal apparently hurt, Randle shooting well and still no Troy Brown.

Wiz actually looking pretty good on the road. Even Mahinmi is contributing.

If Miami really wants to win just pass the ball inside to Whiteside.

I think Miami has missed about 10 layups tonight.

This is shaping up nicely for the Wizards. They'll lose a tight one. Ariza will have a pretty big night and improve his trade value.

And still no Troy Brown because Ariza has to play like 45 minutes at 33.

Nate, what is deal with trading Ariza. Don't they have to package him with another player?

Ariza is playing really selfish on the offensive end. He's had some terrible drives that never had a chance of going in

No. They CAN'T package him with another player. But they can trade him by himself for any number of incoming players. The new CBA provides more latitude with salary differential in trades. Basically, Ariza's $15M salary can go out and we only need to take back $10M. A trade that maximizes the TPE would save $5M off the cap and $7.5M off the luxtax. There are several possibilities out there involving Sacramento (Koufos?) LA (Rondo or KCP?), New Orleans (Johnson + Payton?) and some others that I haven't thought of yet.

Maybe I’m very old school, but I’d prefer the injured Wall and Morris not travel with team. Let this group gel and develop without those guys around. Plus shouldn’t they be resting and/or rehabbing?

I think in the old school, they would expect all the teammates to travel with the team. I see nothing wrong with it. Indeed, I think Morris and Wall should be commended for traveling with the team to support their teammates.

There's enough to complain about it with respect to Wall and Morris, let's not invent new things.

No you're not old school, you just don't like those guys. (understandable)
but they need to show up for work when they can. The are still getting paid.

That not old school, that's ridiculous. John is having surgery in a couple of days so he will not be travelling with the team for a long time. He doesn't have to travel but shows he still wants to be part of the team. I really don't care if Kieff travels or not. If Brooks needs a guy to help yell at the refs, he has his guy.

Ok I’ll chill on them traveling with team. I’ve never been involved with a team as player or coach where injured traveled, but obviously these guys have charter planes, they are not riding buses.

Yea, I got that twisted. Here's what Tom Haberstroh said about 3 weeks ago.
