Thoughts on Quincy Acy?

Suns just signed him or are getting ready to. I see he played almost 20 mpg for you most of last year. What does he bring, if anything?

He's a solid rebounder and a fine defender when he's getting good minutes. A hustle guy with heart.

Likeable guy, but can have frustrating moments. Depends on what his role is. He was played as a stretch 4 (and even as a stretch 5, which is just nuts because he just can't be that physically). Unless you guys are planning on playing him 20 mpg, I'd guess you guys would be more than fine if he's just getting 10-15 minutes tops.

A good end of the bench guy to have. Hard working, he can occasionally make 3s, plays tough defensively, brings a tough mindset and great at taking charges.

He hustles, rebounds well, tries on defense but he's not a great defender, passable jump shot for a big, and he's one of the best towel waving teammates out there.

This was the reason for the signing...Suns get down and get called for lots of cheap fouls and get frustrated and down and can almost give up...and can start lacking energy..

He's an excellent tank commander.
He's a good teammate, a mediocre defender and 3 point shooter, does nothing else well.
Has awful mental meltdowns at the most inopportune moments, but becomes the coaches favorite instantly because of his hustle and the false moniker of a 3 and D big man because he had a 32 game stretch on a high amount of attempts once in his career where he was scorching hot.
Seems like a very likable human being. As a basketball player he makes you want to set fire to your television and season tickets.
I'd imagine he could be a solid every once in a couple games 8mpg minute eater on a good team. Any other larger role, no matter on a bad team or good and he will make you pull your hair out.

Thought this was going to be about bringing ACy back lol he's a good guy. He'll bring energy and he can hit the three, we liked to play him at center sometimes but he was better as a power forward. He's a great teammate I'm glad someone picked him up.

the good: Excellent on straight away top of the key threes. Was our best defensive big last year on a team with Allen and RHJ. he doesnt block shots but i believe finsihed top 5 in charges taken. doesnt try and do to much. will stick his nose in for rebounds.

the bad: he is NOT a 3 and D guy... too streaky and not always reliable on wide open threes. straight away he is good but real inconsistent from the corners. Has a tendancy to have shaqtin'-a-fool type turnovers.

im not sure what role he plays for the suns, but fans will love him im sure

Toughness, hustle, rebounds, and decent 3 point shooting.
