Mikal Bridges with 32 minutes: 10/1/3/3/1 on 50/50 shooting with 0 turnovers and +14

He is already one of the best perimeter defenders in the league in his rookie year which is nothing to be snuffed at.

I think Young was the worst defensive guard the Bucks have faced all year. Felt like Brogdon and Bledsoe were going right through him like he wasnt even there.

...and it’s funny how Hawk’s coach is helping Trae padding his stats in garbage time. Mostly all top rookies don’t play in garbage time.

Why u say so? Doncic was up to his average numbers despite the loss. But it was roughier for Trae, i agree.

Seems to me that Sexton, Trae, and Knox being apart a bit from the pack is in large part a function of being on a bad team.

I will admit to not paying attention to the Cavs and Knicks this season (I've watched Trae play a little) but Knox has been getting some praise this season for his play - does Knox show some potential to be a solid player in this league?

A number of rookies like Ayton struggled last night. This trolling Trae thing is lame.

Is Ben Simmons still eligible? Gave Doncic an absolute bath today.

Chauncey Billups said that Doncic was better than Simmons too. Paul Pierce looked at him like he was a dum dum. I wonder if Simmons was watching?

Disagree.

He's a rookie. A lot of rookie Centers are horrible on defense when they first come into the league.

Myles Turner was not a good defender when he joined the NBA, he could block shots, but his overall defense was not good. Now he is one of the best defensive players in the NBA.

Sometimes you just have to give a rookie some time and a good coach. Ayton has all the physical tools needed to be a good defender, he's just gotta put it all together, which comes with time and experience(and good coaching).

People should really stop saying that Ayton his horrible on defense, because he is not. He is learning and has already improved a ton. It all comes down to energy and willingness to defend. He is one of the best 1v1 defenders i have ever seen for a center. You can rarely outplay him and he makes great effort to at least challenge a shot. Rim protection and weak side help, that's a bit of a learning process but still, he is not as horrible as people think. He is an athletic freak with long reach and high jump.

Actually biggest problem with him is creating offense for himself. That's something he'll have to learn in order to push PHX over the edge. Right now over 70% of his baskets are assisted, sure you can live on that but can you really help the team get deep into the playoffs?
Anyway Ayton does have a natural feel for the game so i think he'll be just fine in time.

The Suns rarely put Ayton in position to showcase his ISO skills. His back to the basket game is fine.In fact, I think he's being underutilized by the Suns in that regard.I think his face up game could use some work. It's almost like he doesn't realize how fast/athletic he is.I'd like to see him go around defenders. His step back J is pretty good, but I think he could blow past defenders if he used his speed. He has a really great natural feel for the game. His touch around the basket is very smooth

JJJ 15 7 1 4 steals and +0 in a 20 point loss. Only player not in the negative and played the most minutes.

So apparently Doncic is human after all??

14/8/4/2 on 4/16, 1/8, 5/10 shooting with -18 on/off and Simmons burning him on both sides of the court.

Yeah, it was almost as bad as watching Ayton getting roasted by Embiid few days ago.. :(

I just couldn't resist... And I didn't even mention the great showing he had vs the Polish Hammer

In a way it's good that Dončić occasionally has bad games, it helps to keep the expectations a bit lower and to give him some extra motivation to further improve.

I didn't see the game. But I gotta find a replay of this.
